Chapter three

Camila pov

"Ok class, take out your homework from last time." Mr. Hood says.

Shit, I thought, I didn't do the homework. Well, that's what I get for getting distracted watching Netflix and eating junk food all day.

"Psst, camz."

I turn and see Lauren pointing down to my desk and, see that it was a copy of the homework, completed. I look up at her surprised, and she just smiled and put a thumbs up.

"Thank you" I mouth to her.

"Class, I want you to partner up with someone for another math project."

Yay, how fun, I thought. I turn to my left and see that Lauren had paired up with her girlfriend, Lucy. Oh well, time to wait and see who comes up to me. I see a very tall girl with blonde hair come up to me and asks me if I wanted to be her partner. I accept and learn that her name is Dinah. We exchanged phone numbers and start working on the Project. We end up saying that we would meet later that day to finish the project.

"Hey Camila, you like Lauren don't you?" Dinah says.

"No, why would you say that," I say turning away from looking at Lauren. I'll admit, I got distracted at times by looking at Lauren with Lucy and seeing the jealousy spark inside of me.

"Well, even if you don't, I still ship it."

I turn and looked at her surprised and say, "Well, you shouldn't, because she has a girlfriend anyway." I say looking back at Lauren, we made eye contact and I looked down blushing.

"So you're admitting that you like her?"

"No, I'm sayi- "Dinah stop looking at me like that." I see Dinah smirking at me figuring out that I do have a crush on her.

"Ok fine, I do," I admit. "But please don't tell her anything.

"I won't."

I see Lauren coming towards us with her paper.

"Lauren, Camila has a crush on you!" Dinah says smirking at me.

"Dinah what the fuck!"

"No I don't!" I glare at Dinah and see Lauren just ignoring the conversation and just asking about the work.

"By the way, I think Lucy is a bitch." Dinah whispers to me. "I ship Camren."

"What's Camren?" I ask raising an eyebrow at her.

"Really Mila? You have the highest grade in the class and you can't figure that one out. Anyways, it's a combination of your name and Lauren's name. Cam + ren = Camren, simple as that."

"Oh."

I turn back to see Lauren and Lucy and see them holding hands under the table. It was frustrating the hell out of me, but I had to remember that they were dating. Lucy turned and noticed my blatant staring. I felt my cheeks turn red, and Lucy just smirked and started to cuddle up to Lauren, knowing what she was doing to me.

"So, what's gonna be the next step for the project?" Dinah asks forgetting completely that she was there.

"Oh right," I say turning back around and start working on the project.

Later that day

China (5:30 pm): I'm on my way Walz.

Mila (5:30 pm): Ok, the doors open.

"Hey mami, one of my friends from school is coming over to do a project!" I shout from my room.

"Ok Mija!" She shouts back.

As I wait for Dinah to get here, I start getting my materials out until I hear my phone vibrating. It was Dinah saying, "Open the door bitch, I'm here." Typical Dinah I say shaking my head, and I run downstairs to open the door.

"Hey walz!" Dinah says giving me a hug.

"Hey China!" I say hugging her back. We start running back to my room and start working on the project.

"So are we going to start with trigonometry or should we start with the pie chart?" Dinah asks me.

"We should start with trigonometry. That's the fastest one I believe."

1 hour later...

"How the fuck are we still stuck in trigonometry?" Dinah asks. I just shrug, not knowing what to say. "Do you think someone from our class knows how to solve it?" I shake my head saying no, although I wasn't really paying attention since my thoughts kept going back to Lauren. I have been having this bad feeling in my stomach all day and have been worrying about what will happen.

"Hey Mila, what if we call Lauren and ask her?" She asks bringing me back into reality. "Yeah, sure," I say taking out my phone and looking through my contacts. I hover my finger over her contact "lolo 💖" when my phone starts vibrating indicating a call coming in. I see the name and it's Lauren calling me.

"Dinah, Lauren's calling me," I ask her surprised and confused.

"Then answer her what are you waiting for?" She says. I swipe to the right and put my phone to my ear. "Hello?" I ask.

I hear a shaky breath and sniffles coming in the background.

"C-Camz."
