Everyone laughed a bit before the rest of the group headed into the forest to change into their lighter clothes.
Goija had changed rather quickly and came out from behind a tree wearing a shirt so large it looked almost like a robe with a belt sternly tied around his waist.
Balk spent a little more time changing as he found a nice quiet place to change before changing into his large shirt. He cut the bottom of the shirt off and fashioned it into a sort of pair of shorts.
Puro had not changed at all and instead waited on a log reading a book.
Terran took the longest to change as he had gone to a nearby water stream and gazed into the reflective water. He could see himself in it. When he tossed stones into the water, his reflection rippled and broke temporarily. The reflection in the water was fragile, just like a human, Terran had thought before cutting up and fashioning his large shirt into a pair of shorts as Balk had done while he used his raincoat as his new shirt. One downside to this was that his chest was completely exposed and there was no cloth over parts of it to soften punches and maybe even dullen sword attacks.
Terran and Balk walked out and sat on the log where Puro sat. Goija soon joined them.
"Ha! You guys look ridiculous wearing those shirts as shorts!"
"At least we have shorts. You're still 'half naked.'" Balk said.
The group now walked towards Garland. There was a stone path that led into the main streets of the city which were empty. The buildings seemed dull and dead as if they were telling the group to go back and the sky agreed with the buildings. The group were now in the center of Garland and they managed to see a knight standing on a building.
"Where's the hostage!?" Terran shouted.
The knight stood there and tapped his foot twice on the ceiling of the building. Suddenly, the doors to the rest of the buildings there opened and out came a man out of each building. Now, including the knight, there were 6 soldiers.
"Lay waste to them!" The knight shouted.
In total, there was one knight, 3 squires, an archer, and a lancer.
"Damn! Not only is their leader not here, but there's no hostage either. It was a trap!" Terran exclaimed.
Suddenly, the sound of running came from behind the soldiers. It was the Northern Order!
"Right on time!" Terran exclaimed once more.
Hiyoto slashed in the direction of the knight on top of the building. Suddenly, lightning energy gathered in that location and exploded, creating a sword of lightning that stabbed the knight, electrocuting him.
"Whoa... This is the power of a Holy Knight," Puro said, never having seen an advanced soldier in combat.
Hiyoto now turned to face Terran's group.
"I was walking through Gotoir and received news a poaching company had slaughtered the workers of the inn you were staying at."
The archer prepared his shot to hit Hiyoto, but Hiyoto's Lightning Stab was much faster than the archer and so the archer fell off the roof, electrocuted.
"Damn..." One of the squires said. The squire then retreated inside to one of the buildings.
Puro had finished casting their thunder spell. A bolt of white lightning struck another squire, electrocuting him.
Balk and Terran combatted the remaining squires.
Balk ended up parrying the squire he was fighting instantly, stabbing them through the chest.
