"Luke, tell me the truth! Where were you yesterday?!" Leighton screamed, frustrated.
"I was at Calum's house yesterday!" He ran his hand through his hair, also frustrated.
Leighton chuckles dryly, "Well, guess what? I was also at Calum's house yesterday with Michael and Kitty and I didn't see you!"
"I need a break." Luke said, tried to be as calm as he could.
Leighton sighed, "Me too. I'm kind of tired. You want to eat?"
"No that's not what I meant.." Luke bite his bottom lips, and Leighton raised her eyebrows.
"I need a break.. from you. From us."
Leighton's jaw dropped, a tear streamed down her face. "Leigh, baby, don't cry." Luke said as he got closer to Leighton, but she took a step back.
"You want us to break up?"
"What? No! That's not what I meant! I mean I just needed to get away from you for a bit and we'll be together again after I calmed down."
"Well, you know what, Lucas? I'm done with you. You can't just get away from me for a while and be with me again, I'm not your toy. If you want to get away from me, do it forever." Leighton stated, "I'm done."
She picked up her coat from the couch and got out from his house, leaving him speechless. She wore her coat and put her hands in the coat's pocket.
She knew where he was yesterday. He was at Tiffany's. Tiffany was the bitch in their high school, she wanted to be popular. She craved for popularity. And she did it by stealing Leighton's boyfriend slash the most popular boy in school, Luke Hemmings.
Leighton and Luke were the best couple, everyone adored them. They even called them the 'Double L' couple. But it changed ever since Luke met Tiffany.
Leighton knew she had to let Luke go, but she wasn't ready yet. But today, she did it. She once promised to always make Luke happy, and if it means to let him go, then she would do it in a heartbeat.
What made it worse, Tiffany was Leighton's best friend. They stopped being friend when Tiffany knew that Leighton was dating Luke. All of a sudden, she didn't return Leighton's calls, messages, and voicemails.
At least she still got Kitty, Calum, and Michael who will always got her back.
