The loud toll of the bell snapped Taejoon and I out of the little daze we had fallen into.
"Ah, c-class is about to start," he mumbled, wrapping up his trash in his hands. "I wish we could stay here.."
I frowned. "I do too," I replied. I grabbed the plastic wrappings from his hand and stood up. What class do you have next? I'm curious," I asked, heading over to the bin to toss the trash.
"Introduction to Financial Management. What about you?" he asked casually.
Financial Management..?
I narrowed my eyes at him, and he giggled.
"You're taking all these advanced classes that nobody else has until their last high school semester.. You'll probably replace me as valedictorian pretty soon," I chuckled. "But I have calculus next class. It's nothing much."
He wrinkled up his face, and I smiled. "I hate calculus," he spat, making me laugh.
"I'll see you in fifth class okay?" I said, giving his head a little pat.
Taejoon frowned up at me and nodded a little. "O-okay," he said, his lips puckered adorably.
He's so cute when he's pouty.
I walked up to the doors and pulled them open for my TaeTae.
"So you h-have practice again today?" Taejoon asked, looking up at me.
I nodded and slid a hand in my pocket. "Mhm. You're always welcome to watch from the second floor," I said. "Do you want to?"
A deep blush appeared on his cheeks, making me chuckle. "I'll take that as a yes. Meet me in the gym in ten, okay?"
"O-okay.." he shakily replied.
I was more than happy that this school day was over. And my TaeTae wanted to watch me practice, so I'll get to hang out with him even longer!
I was swooning just thinking about it.. He'll see every receive I make, every block, every spike I hit.
I better not miss any of them, goddammit.
I grinned and waved once more at Taejoon before dashing away down the hallway.
I passed a teacher in an intersecting hall as I was running, who yelled "slow down, Cruz!" at me.
I chuckled. "Alright, fine!" I shouted back.
I think he and I both knew that I didn't plan on slowing down.
I skidded to a stop in front of the locker room and happened to catch Thomas and Callum walking inside.
My loud approach made them turn around and Callum smiled sweetly at me, while Thomas glared like he always did.
"Guess what?" I exclaimed.
"What?" the two asked, almost in perfect sync.
I grinned and ushered them into the locker room to explain. "Taejoon agreed to watch us play! He's going to be up in the benches!" I gushed.
"Aren't we having another practice game with Ravenwood today?" Callum piped up. "He'll get to watch us play!"
"Hell yeah!" I cheered. "Thomas, give 'em your hardest spikes, alright?" I prodded, giving his hair a little tousle.
He swatted my hand away with an amused huff and walked away to his locker.
Callum giggled and said, "don't rile him up too much, Cruz."
