Taejoon looked to be in deep thought as we waited in front of the car park.
I had asked my parents to drive my car to the school since I usually left it home during the day.
"Cruz?" he called out.
"Yes, my dear?" I asked, turning to give him my full attention.
His cheeks were redder than normal and he pinched at the hem of his shirt. "D-do you think we could stop by the boba shop after the electronics s-store?" he suggested meekly, looking up at me through his lashes.
"Of course, what a wonderful idea!" I cheered. "I wonder what my TaeTae's favorite flavor is, hm?"
He giggled and twirled a strand of his hair on his finger.
I couldn't help but smile. It was my favorite of his little habits. "You're too cute, Taejoon," I said, which made him smile.
The bright shine of headlights turned my attention away from Tae and I looked up to see my and my parents' cars pulling up in front of us.
I glanced at Taejoon. "My car isn't exactly suited for a wheelchair.. would you mind if I just slip it into the trunk or the backseat?" I asked.
I could easily tell his wheelchair was the collapsable kind, so putting him in the front and his chair in the back shouldn't be too hard.
"Th-that's fine," he replied.
"Where are you boys headed?" Mum called out as she stepped out of my car.
"O-oh, just.. around," I said with a little blush on my cheeks.
Is this a date? I wonder how my parents would react if that's what I called.. this little hang-out.
She smiled and shook her head at me as she walked up to us. "Aw, Taejoon! You've gotten so big!" she beamed.
I chuckled and looked over at Tae, whose cheeks were red.
Mum sighed and shook her head, her smile going more.. sincere. "You've got your mum's beautiful eyes," she said, tousling his hair.
"S-she would gloat about that almost every day," he said and smiled. His fists curled slightly in his lap.
A bout of silence fell over us, the somber air growing thick.
"Ah- th-thanks for bringing my car, Mum," I said and headed over.
"No problem, dear," she sad, her cheerful smile returning, and waved at us before hopping into Dad's car and driving off.
I hope Mum's doing better today.. She brought up TaeTae's mum so easily.
"You okay, Taejoon?" I asked, placing a hopefully comforting hand against his shoulder.
"Y-yeah," he said and turned his eyes up to me. I could just barely see the sad glint in his eye, but his bright smile overshadowed it.
I nodded. "Good," I said. "Ready to go?"
His eyes brightened quickly and he nodded with a cute little hum. "Y-yeah!"
I couldn't help but swoon and coo over how fucking cute he was! I felt butterflies in my tummy, and my cheeks went red quicker than I wanted them to..
"L-lets go," I mumbled, hearing Tae giggle at me.
He followed me over to the car and I opened the passenger door. I glanced over at him, and he looked up at me.
