"Yes, mom, I'm with a friend from college. Yes. I will be fine, mom. Don't worry about me." Zoe's been talking to her mom on the phone for the past 10 minutes. "I'll call you, for sure. I love you guys and have a great day."

Jonathan was in the shower for half of the conversation. "Was that your mom?" He asked, closing the door from the bathroom.

"Yes. She asked me who am I gonna spend tonight with." Zoe said, sadness in her voice.

She laid her eyes on Jonathan's clothed body but what caught her attention was his wet hair.

"You're gonna spend it with me. I guess one celebration won't hurt." He said.

"Wait, are you serious? Promise me you're not gonna fall asleep before midnight!" She said, excited.

"I promise. Also...um, I called work and told them I'd be off tomorrow. Don't get all excited now, please." Jonathan informed Zoe, still drying his hair.

"My God! Thank you!" She stood up, walking over to where he was standing and hugged him. "No, really, in all seriousness now, thanks for doing this for me, it means a lot. It's my first celebration without my parents." She admitted, her hands falling down his arms.

Jonathan hugged her back, holding her by her waist. He smelled like shampoo and Zoe felt lucky, having him here by her side. "You're welcome, Zoe."

The hours of the day passed quickly and it was a couple of minutes before midnight when Zoe was seated on Jonathan's lap. The tender moment made Zoe feel all kinds of emotions. Somewhere deep inside of her head, questions about how Jonathan felt passed but what good will they do if she brought them to life?

Again, the rain didn't stop and there was something about kissing in the rain, even if you were inside, nature made its work and the sound couldn't escape the ears and the moment even if you wanted to. Everything was a definition of euphoria.

Jonathan touched Zoe's skin so gently and the marks were gonna stay there forever she wished. Her eyes were closed but she saw sparks and sunshine in the dark chaos before them. Not a lot of words were exchanged because in a way, they were already communicating with the way they placed the kisses and touches on each other's bodies.

Zoe leaned her head back, giving access for Jonathan to press kisses down her tingly neck. She bit her lip, not daring to open her eyes. There was people who felt love for others and there were the ones who felt only attraction. She felt both. God knows how many things she felt more. Were the moans that escaped her mouth proof for what she'd been feeling? Humanity couldn't survive without love, one way or another, they were there caught up in the moment

Seconds after she parted her lips from his, or the tip of his finger from her skin the hunger started to begin anew. For her, Jonathan was a drawn character in her book of people she had to have along the way. He was beautifully drawn and clear. The feelings other people caused in her stomach were nothing compared to what he made her feel. From the very first hair on her head to the toes. Loving sparks and glory. He put gel on his hair in the mornings, no one had the privilege to feel it soft just like she did now. Trying to take in as more as possible. No one had the privilege to see him this vulnerable.

Jonathan's hands travelled down Zoe's bare legs, squeezing her thighs. She smiled against his lips. "What?" He whispered, putting some of her hair behind her ear. His eyes were much more softer and loving than ever.

"I love this."

He smiled and sighed, resting his head back. Zoe leaned forward and pressed her body onto his as much as she could. He squeezed her back the second she started pressing wet kisses on his neck.
