Hecate leads me down countless flights of stairs, till we're on what I assume to be the "ground level". Loki's cell is somewhere around here I think. Hecate leads me to a huge gymnasium with various training grounds.
'This his the gym and training centre, I'm afraid we're fresh out of shield throwing frisbee ranges at the moment tho.' She says.
There's yet another intriguing thing about her. Her really strange sense of humour and not once have I seen her smile. Granted we're currently not under smiling circumstances but something tells me a smile is a rare thing to. get from her. This raises another question why doesn't she smile?
Hecate leads me back up all the countless stairs and down a couple of corridors pointing some things out. Like the cafeteria, my new room , the gaming centre; yes they have a gaming centre, why I have absolutely no idea. We pass a few guards who runs down the halls doing patrols. The leave she to have memories flashing back from the army bitter sweet memories.
'Miss the old days?'
I realise I have zoned out thinking about my past as I watch the now empty corridor where the guards previously ran by. I turn to Hecate and see she's not looking at me with annoyance or tauntingly or anything like that. If anything I saw a small flash of sympathy in her eyes.
'It'll get better Captain, the twenty first century isn't too bad.' She lightly pats my shoulder and the continues walking. This gesture confuses me because I she's been avoiding all physical contact as far as I can see.
'What's down there?' I ask gesturing to what seems to be a restricted corridor, Hecate opens her mouth but the closes it. She frowns narrowing her eyes at the corridor, I'm assuming she doesn't really know.
'This corridor needs a very high level clearance.' She says.
'You have clearance right?' I ask I mean she's pretty important to S.H.I.E.L.D isn't she?
'No.'
Hecate turns around and starts walking down the corridor.
'Banners lab is just down here why don't you go see what they're up to.' Hecate says and I frown at the new edge in her voice.
'Where are you going?' I ask.
'To speak with Director Fury.'
