Hecate POV:
I make my way back to where the jet will be picking us up, as I go to board the plane Steve grabs my upper arm stopping me. I look at him narrowing my eyes.
'Where were you?'
'On the ship.'
'Rumlow needed your assistance hostages could have died because of you.' He says lowly.
'Well my orders weren't to rescue hostages Rogers that was your mission not mine, mine was to retrieve something for Fury.' I pull my arm from his grasp and walk up the ramp into the jet.
'Steve mad at you too?' Natasha asks me as she comes to stand next to me.
'Were not soldier's were agents, he needs to realise that.' I say and the jet takes off.
Steve ignores me and Natasha the whole flight back to headquarters, this annoyed me slightly. Like come on it's really not that bad Steve, when we landed I directly went to Fury's office to give him his little package. I hand it over to him and he securely locks it in a drawer.
'What is it?' I ask Fury.
'Apparently some device carrying all go HYDRA's information.' Fury informs me.
'I doubt HYDRA is stupid enough to put all their information on a ship that belongs to S.H.I.E.L.D.' I say.
'I know but I have to make sure.' Nick says and I nod.
'Well if it truly does contain information on HYDRA..' I trail off not sure how to end that sentence.
'We can only hope though both our doubts are high.'
'You still busy with that project insight?' I ask, Fury has asked me to come in and help with designs for this project but I refused because I completely disagree with it.
'It'll be worth is in the end Hecate.' He says and I just shake my head I open my mouth to disagree but the door to Fury's office bursts open.
'You just can't stop yourself from lying.' Steve says loudly.
'I didn't lie, Agent Romanoff and Hecate had different mission than you did.' Fury says.
'Fury.' I nod in goodbye and the start walking to the door completely ignoring Steve because I decided I'm mad at him.
I went to the parking lot and started to clean my bike a little before I go home, I remove my leather jacket and check that everything is good. When I'm sure everything is fine and I'm good to go I reach for my leather jacket. But it's not there, confused I turn around find Steve standing there.
'Truce?' He asks handing me my jacket, I take it and shrug it on.
'Truce.' I agree and turn around to get on my bike.
'Fury told me you are against project insight, you refused to help them.' I turn around when he says this and instead just lean against my bike.
'I don't agree with it yes, I don't believe all problems can be solved by pointing a gun at it. The world is much to complete.' There is a silence as he stares at me, I hold his gaze.
'Do you agree with it?' I ask.
'No, Fury is handing them fear not safety.' He says and I nod.
'For once we agree on something Rogers.' Steve looks down.
'I'm sorry.' He says apologising.
'No problem, you just have to learn Nat and I, we're not soldiers Steve, we're agents.'
'I know.' He says and theres is a pause, the silence is strangely comfortable.
'I'm heading to the museums, want to join me?' Steve awkwardly asks but it's enough to make the smallest of smiles creep onto my face.
'Sure, lead the way.'
