"Alright I'm going to go print these pictures and will set up your next appointment at the front... I mean if you are going to continue coming here." Nurse Lopez spoke up smiling before walking out the door. Baby Joe wouldn't even look at me ever since he got here he's been quiet and just looking around the room. Part of me regrets telling him the other part is like well now he can't be mad and ask why I didn't tell him.
"Listen I could take care of my baby on my own... I don't need you to be here if you don't want to." I cringe as the words leave my mouth but I would never force a child on anyone.
"Are you serious righ now?" His eyes finally landed on me and you could see the hurt but what was I supposed to say. He sat here the whole appointment with a sour look on his face, like I did something to him.
"As a heart attack." Rolling my eyes I stand up pulling my shirt down fixing my once bone straight hair and grabbing my phone off the counter. I didn't wanna here what he had to say I'm tired of people telling me what I should do with my life I wanna do something for me right now even if that means I lose my mom and the love of my life in one day.
"Miracle... chill with that bull shit you talkin crazy." He said grabbing me up turning me to face him wiping the tears that I didn't know were coming down my face before he could speak again my phone started to go off. It was Amaya so of course I picked up.
"Hey Maya." Sniffling I pull away from Joe and wipe at my eyes thank god I didn't wear mascara because I cried so much today.
"Did you do it ?" She asked in a whisper
"What? Did I do what?" I looked over to Joe who was already eyeing me he slowly walked closer placing his hand on my stomach kissing my cheek.
"The baby?" Oh she thought I got rid of my baby.
"Oh no I'm almost three weeks!" I say excited while my tears continue I place my hand over Joe's and look at him smiling. "I'll call you when I get back okay love you." She said yay and bye before hanging up.
"Here's the pictures I hope to see you guy's again." Nurse Lopez says handing me the picture.
"Yeah come on mamas let's go get something to eat." Joe grabbed my hand I waved before I was pulled out the door.
"I'm sorry... I just was scared but I wanna keep my baby.. even if I lose everything." I said while we walked hand in hand to the car.
"You straight mamas. You and my seed will be straight forever anything and everything you want you getting no question asked." He looked at me as he opened the door so I can get in the car I couldn't hold back the smile and him smiling back made me feel like it was going to all get better in time everything was going to be okay.
"Starting off with Waffle House?" I say watching him get in the car.
"Mm yeah oh and don't ever do that fuck shit talking bout you leaving me."
