Fresh air waved over her body as she was helped from the front seat of the truck, the young woman grabbing her crutch and placing it under her left arm. With the help of her companion, she slowly hobbled up to the familiar house, stopping in front of the door and sighing. Nearly a month in the hospital recovering from her leg wound and crying over Harold's death hadn't prepared Kuu to return home. Standing in front of the door with her dirtied white shirt and brown cargo pants, her mind told her to turn around and find someplace else to be. She glanced over at Narai, whom she held the left shoulder of, careful not to hold where the bullet had struck and disabled the use of his arm. He kept it in a sling for now, saying he might as well have it amputated in the future if it wasn't going to offer him any use.

Kuujiro knocked on the door loudly, opening several seconds later with a surprised yet ecstatic Lillian answering. She immediately hugged the young woman, her large breasts nearly crushing Kuu's ribcage. Without words to say, the blond woman only cried while holding her, Edward walking into view behind his sobbing wife. He was first to acknowledge the black clothed Narai standing next to Kuu, nodding his thanks for bringing her home to them and then taking part in hugging. Ed ushered them all inside to the dining room, sitting them down while Lillian went to prepare tea.

"How's it hanging Little Kuu?" Ed asked her, his beaming smile truly a sight for eyes that had only seen death and pain in the last months.

"It hangs," she replied with her own grin, motioning to the black haired man next to her to introduce him, "this is Narai, he was a part of the rebels and I fought next to him the whole time,"

"Narai, I welcome you to my home and thank you from the bottom of my heart for bringing her back to us," Ed shook his usable hand, wondering if the dark dressed man was going to remove the black bandanna he wore over his face or not. It didn't really matter, he was a respected guest either way.

"She brought herself back, I didn't do much," Narai said humbly, Kuu squinting her eyes then rolling them when he continued, "except save her life,"

"So very humble," Kuu said under her breath, Narai smiling under the bandanna.

"You were informed about Harold, right?" Narai asked the blond bearded man in his plaid vest and white long sleeve, Ed nodding.

"...yes. I didn't want to believe it, but...all heroes pass on sometime, whether it be in battle or age. His funeral will definitely be remembered for years to come," Edward helped Lillian distribute the tea when she emerged from the kitchen door in her blue dress. She sat next to her husband and nodded her greetings to the black haired man. They sat in silence, sipping at the tea until Lillian spoke up.

"How badly injured is your leg?" She asked Kuu, who shrugged in return.

"The doctor said the feeling will return in a few weeks, and that I won't be walking straight ever again," the young woman explained, "she suggested I invest in a cane,"

"Well we'll have to go out tomorrow to get one then," Edward looked over to Narai, "how is the arm?"

"Useless," the islander answered simply, elaborating only with, "turned completely limp by nerve damage,"

"May want to get it removed if you weren't already thinking that," Edward said, "we know a good surgeon in the military hospital you stayed at that would be able to get that done. Remember the name Tayma and tell her I referred you,"

"Will do," Narai turned to Ed's wife, sipping the tea under his bandanna, "thank you for this. Haven't had proper tea in too many months,"

"You are more than welcome," she said, then tapped Ed's shoulder, "the mail, remember?"
