I know these chapters are a little short, but they will get longer I promise :)

When I got back from lunch with Tyson Jessi called me and when I told her where I had been she rushed over quickly to hear the story first hand. I shook my head when she knocked on my door 15 minutes after I had hung up. When I opened the door I was surprised to see her standing there with an armful of food and a 6 pack of soda hanging from her fingers.
"Are you going to help me or stand there and stare at me until my fingers fall off?" she joked and I shook my head and grabbed the soda from her and walked in to put it on the counter in my kitchen.
"Whats with all the essentials Jes?" she just shrugged.
"I mean whats a good gossip session without junk food?" I giggled and nodded and grabbed a soda before walking over to the bags to see what she had brought.
"Chinese food and soo much ice cream?" I laughed. "How bad did you think this meeting with Tyson went?"
"Well I wasn't sure. You didn't sound sad when you called so I'm assuming it actually went ok, but I wanted to be prepared." I nodded walking to the cabinet to get some plates for our food while she put the ice cream in the freezer. We each grabbed a plate of food and walked into the living room and sat down on the couch, pulling blankets over our legs before we started eating.
"Okay, shoot. What happened?" she said after finishing her plate of food.
"I apologized for cutting him out of my life, and explained why. He was actually very understanding. We decided to be friends again. It went really well."
"That was the shortest story ever for you being with him for like 3 hours."
"Well we caught up," I laughed reaching over her to grab the remote and turn on the tv. "he asked me about everything that had happened since I moved away and we talked about his hockey. It was good."
"And what about those feelings you had for him when you were kids? Those come back or up at all?" I shook my head.
"No, it's been like 6 years Jessi." she scoffed at me.
"Feelings like what you said you had for him before you left don't just go away Jana. They just don't."
"I was 15 Jessi, I didn't know what I was feeling." she shook her head at me in defeat but let it go as I turned on Disney + and clicked on Tangled, my favorite Disney movie ever. Jessi groaned but didn't complain.
We sat up watching Disney movies until close to 1 am before Jessi passed out on my couch. I turned off the tv and covered her up before walking to my room to get ready for bed. After changing into a nightshirt I grabbed my phone to plug it in and saw there was a text message from Tyson. Smiling I unlocked my phone to read it.
Tyson: It was good catching up with you today Jana
I've missed you more than it was cool to let on.

Me: I missed you too Ty. Glad to finally have you back. :)
Tyson: We have a game on Saturday, was wondering if you
wanted to come? We could maybe hang out afterwards.

Me: I'd love to.
Tyson: Great! Will leave the tickets for you at will call. I'll leave 2
so you can bring your friend if you want. My thank you
for forcing you to a game ;)

I smiled down at my phone and told him we would be there before locking my phone and plugged it in. I layed back on my pillow and smiled at the ceiling. Letting Jessi 'drag' me to the game turned out to be the best thing I had done in awhile. Just had to make it through another week of work before I could see another one and finally get back into the sport I had always loved watching thanks to a certain someone.
