The scarlet-haired woman looked at her companions, concern visible in her purple orbs. One of the people accompanying her was her little sister, Ellie, who was only thirteen-years-old. She was a very powerful storm wizard but being the caring person she was, Hannah was still worried. "Is everyone ready?" she asked. "I was born ready!" Ellie exclaimed excitedly, her dark browns irises lighting up with excitement. "Yeah," Valdus said. Morgrim simply nodded. The four wizards entered the doors of the place Malistaire was residing in.

The wizards got through the battles in the lower level of Great Spyre quickly. As they were on the elevator to go to the higher level of it, unwanted thoughts returned to Hannah once again. What if they couldn't defeat Malistaire at their best? What if Malistaire woke up the dragon titan? What if they couldn't save the spiral? Merle had said only they could save the spiral from destruction since they were the most powerful team in the spiral. Valdus saw the look on Hannah's face and put a hand on her shoulder. "Don't sweat it. We can do it." Hannah said, "Yeah," in a faint voice. Ellie, too, saw the look on her older sister's face and hugged her. "Don't worry, Han, we'll kick Malistaire's BUTT!" She said confidently. Hannah giggled slightly while Valdus laughed. Even Morgrim cracked a small smile. Ellie always knew how to help Hannah stop worrying. With somewhat more effort, they defeated Gurtok Firebender. Next was the decaying blackguards, whom they quickly defeated, then the soul servants, whom they also quickly defeated.

Malistaire looked up from his book. He was very focused on his work and hadn't noticed the group enter his lair. Also seeing that they had defeated his minions, he scowled. "Those good for nothing spectres." Turning his gaze to the two wizards before him, he said, "I see the old fool sent you two pesky wizards to do his dirty work." he peered at the remaining wizards. "and two children..? How quaint." he uttered. "I'm nineteen!" Valdus shouted angrily, while Ellie pouted and said, "I'm thirteen..." Malistaire let out an exasperated sigh. "Well, time to get this over with." The combat circle appeared and the wizards went to their places. Spell after spell, the four wizards fought, but it appeared they were losing. As soon as they realized that, Ellie got hit by a powerful scarecrow. She fell to her knees. Everyone was about to be defeated--no, destroyed since Malistaire would summon the dragon titan before all of them could recover. Hannah was running out of heals and everyone else had used all of theirs.

"Ellie!" Hannah cried, casting a pixie on her. Ellie still couldn't get up. Hannah glared at Malistaire, her violet orbs darkening. "How can you do this to a child?" she said sharply. The tone of her words was like ice. Ellie was too weak to complain about being called a child, which she usually did. Malistaire looked at her with an indifferent expression. "For my wife," he replied. This only intensified Hannah's anger towards him. She cast a Centaur on him. A Lifeblade was used. Then a Spirit Blade. All of the many blades and traps were used, and Malistaire's eyes widened. He hadn't foreseen this. He knew he was going to die from the hands of the young woman. After the Centaur hit him, Malistaire crumbled to the knees. "Hah...... Dying..... To an eighteen-year-old...." he said, fading.

Malistaire soon reunited with his wife and Cyrus teleported in and, while grieving the death of his brother, congratulated the wizards. As Ellie, Morgrim, Valdus and Hannah were exiting the place, Hannah stopped and said, "Pardon me for just a minute. You three can go on without me." They all agreed and stepped through the portal. Hannah peered at Cyrus over her shoulder.

"My sincerest apologies about your brother's death, Mr. Cyrus. Please know that you may, at any time, come to me for support or to rant," she said, giving him a soft smile. Cyrus looked at Hannah, surprised. And then he smiled gently and said,

"You've done well, Hannah."
