Author's note: This story is kinda inspired by the running scene in Kaishin no Ichigeki.
"You darn kids!" the older man yelled after the duo, skidding to a halt. The raven-haired female continued to drag onto the young man's wrist, bringing him away from the scene. They were running, laughing at the prank they had just pulled on him.
"Was that really a good idea?" the taller male asked as they ran.
"Maybe not, but it was funny!" Mary said, still laughing. The young man laughed again but then frowned as a thought came to his head. Before he knew it, he asked her a question."Why are you friends with me? I'm just an antisocial loser..." he asked in a depressed tone. His cheeks turned red and his breath hitched at her next action.
She tossed her head over her shoulder and gave him her typical grin. "Because you're wonderful!"
He looked away in embarrassment. "Shut up..." he said, and the girl laughed again.
She wouldn't know his feelings. He'd never have the confidence to tell her. But he was content with that as long as they were friends.
