Chapter 5: Heat

Annaira's pajamas, and outfit along with hairstyle for the next day.

Annaira's POV (cont.)
After I showered and put on my pajamas I walked into the bedroom to find Mikal shirtless in sweatpants lying on the bed looking through papers. Once he noticed my presence he eyed me up and down. "Well don't you look and smell good enough to eat". I rolled my eyes and said," ew and what did you want to discuss" as I walked over to the seat that was at the foot of the bed and sat down. This puzzled him" why are you so far away my love? I don't bite"
"First of all my name isn't love or dear or 'my sweet' it's ANNAIRA and second I don't trust you" I replied and folded my arms across my chest as I did so. Ignoring my snappy remark he sits up and replies, " you must stop folding your arms. It only makes your breasts look better than they already do in that top you have on." At that I grab the blanket on the edge of the bed to cover myself up and he simply laughs at my reaction. He is such a pig. Suddenly we hear a knock at the door and Mikal says enter. Lucas walks in and I instantly feel a blush creep up my cheeks as he admires me while he walks in. Did it get warmer in here? Because all I feel is heat radiating through my body.
"Yes Lucas, here are the documents I need filed." He then hands Lucas the papers and says something else but I lose focus on their conversation as I admire Lucas's physique. From the tattoos to the disheveled hair this man is a work of art. He then licks his lips and I can't help but to imagine his tongue being put to work in other places. I'm then brought out of my fantasies when I hear the door close.
" now where were we? AH! information. Once we get settled in Canada you will begin physical training. You will need to know how to fight and kill. We will also have our mating ceremony and wedding one week from our arrival in Canada. 3 days from that ceremony we will have a ball so everyone can see and meet the new princess. When we arrive you will also be fitted for your gowns. Do you have any questions?" Even though I was overwhelmed with the idea of everything one question stood loud and clear In my mind. " why me? Why was I chosen?" He seemed confused by my response at first then said," In order to produce an immortal vampire heir I must mate with a virgin from a special immortal lineage. Your Father is one from that lineage making you a perfect candidate."
" but how do you know I am a virgin?"
He smirked and replied" why do you think I had you go see a doctor?" It all made sense now. Thanks a lot for doctor patient confidentiality. "Okay well I have no more questions. I'm going to bed." With that I grabbed the blanket I had and went to lay on the farthest side of the bed. He simply chuckled turned off the light and left the room.

I woke up to an Alarm clock. When I checked the time it was 10 in the morning. I did my hygiene and hair, got dressed and went downstairs. As I was walking around I couldn't help but admire how gorgeous everything about this home was. After walking around I found my way to the kitchen. Lucas was standing at the kitchen island looking through papers. I cleared my throat to get his attention and said " what you got there?"
"Some documents regarding your wedding." He looked at me and a smirk grew on his face. "What are you looking so smug for" I asked. He chuckled and replied, " no reason. Anyways, what do you want to today. We can do whatever you like". He walked from around the island and slowly approached me,"we can take a walk, do horse back riding, swimming, anything." He stopped directly in front of me and might I add he smelled so damn good. It took everything In me not to lean in and take a whiff. "Swimming sounds nice." I replied in a shaky voice. "Great I'll go change and meet you here." He said. "You're going to swim too?" I replied. "Yes. I am. I'm a very good swimmer too and sometimes I'm so eager I just...dive right in." With that he walks away. Damn. I'm convinced someone keeps turning on the heat. With that I hug and head to change.
