"Isabelle if you don't wake up you're going to be late to school!" My mom yelled at my door as she walked downstairs. I rolled over in bed and turned off my alarm on my phone that wasn't doing a very good job at waking me up. Lucky me I always get my stuff together the night before so if I do sleep in I'm already half way ready. I grab my t shirt and jeans laid out and walk to the bathroom to change and brush my hair and wash my face. I hurry and change and grab my bag and car keys. "Can you grab me a banana?" I yelled walking downstairs trying to quickly tie my converse up. "You have an alarm for no reason." My mom said handing me the banana as I walked out of the front door. "I love you! Have fun at work tell dad I said hi!" I threw my bag in the car and hopped in. My family was pretty well off since my dads a doctor and my moms a nurse. While we try not to be those annoying rich people we do live in a gated community and I may also drive a Jeep Wrangler. Our house is a decent two story size with five bedrooms. One for my parents, me, guests, an office and a little movie theater for when my friends come over. I'm an only child since my parents had me while still in college before they started their time consuming careers. But I don't mind being an only child especially since my bestfriend, Cameron King, has so many siblings. He also lives in the neighborhood but he helps his mom take his siblings to school. I roll the windows down as I'm driving down to school and just soak in the sun. It's only September here in Orlando but the weather is still warm. Living in Orlando is the best and the worst. It's got such pretty weather but the traffic can be horrible with all of the tourist that come. My school is only a 10 minute drive from home so enjoying the ride doesn't last long. I pull into the parking lot and walk out to find my friends. "Iz! Come here!" I turned my head and saw Carly, Cameron's twin sister already sitting at a table since she drives herself separately. Cameron has three other siblings. There's Carly his twin sister, and then Callie and Cason who are also twins and in second grade. "Did you finish last nights economics homework?" She asked giving me her puppy dog eyes. "First, you know I always do my homework so you don't even have to ask. Second why did you not do yours?" I asked handing her my homework. "Well practice ended late and I was just so tired when I got home I fell asleep and forgot. I at least did my other class homework." I rolled my eyes and watched her copy the first few problems before pulling my banana out and eating it. " A banana is not going to fill you up we've talked about the importance of a good breakfast." A voice said while sitting beside me. "And rinsing your hair with water and not brushing it is not good for you either." I told Cameron while running my fingers through his hair. "Don't touch it I liked it how it was!" He swatted my hand and tried to fix it. His hair was in between curly and wavy. He had dark brown hair that was always soft no matter what he put in it. "Anyways I eat what I wanna eat. I'm in shape for cheer and that's all that matters." I told Cameron getting up to throw my banana peel away. "It's unfair how in shape you are despite how horrible you eat." Carly complained while handing my homework back. "I'm in shape because I work out." I joke slapping Cameron's arm. "Ow! My arms hurt from practice yesterday. If I have to raise my arm to answer a question in class today they might fall off." He rolled his shoulders and tried to lift his arm up but quickly dropped it. "You're still getting Callie and Cason after school right?" Carly asked me glancing up from her phone. " Yep. I told your mom I'd do it everyday if she really wanted me to. I love getting them." "You're too good to us." Cameron said looking at me. "You guys are my bestfriends and your parents are my parents bestfriends so I love to help out." I told him grabbing my bag and starting to walk to class. He picked up his stuff and we waved bye to Carly who started walking to her own class. "Wanna come over today and do our anatomy project that's due tomorrow?" Cameron asked stopping at my class which just so happens to be anatomy. "Sure. I'm almost done with it but I can help you out I guess. What's for dinner tonight?" I asked. "No idea. I'll text my mom and let you know. I gotta hurry to class!" He yelled running down the hall. Him and I only have one class together which is economics but he's always walked me to every class since freshman year. The day slowly dragged on and before I knew it we were in the last class of the day, Economics. This was my favorite class because the teacher was so cool and actually enjoyed teaching the subject. We just listened to him lecture the whole class period and then finally the bell rang. Since I'm a senior this year we're allowed to have two off periods. Either 1st and 2nd period or 7th and 8th period. I have mine 7th and 8th but Cameron only has 7th off because he has baseball 8th hence why I'm picking his younger siblings up. "So I forgot to text you but dinner is spaghetti." Cameron said walking me out to my car. "Oo sounds good. It'll probably take me a minute to finish statistics so I'll be hungry." I told him hopping in my car and rolling the window down. "Practice ends around 4:30 since it's just conditioning then I'll be home if you wanna stay till then or drop them off then come back." "I'll probably just stay there and help Callie and Cason or something. I gotta run though I like to be close to the front to get them and get out." I waved and watched him walk back inside before pulling out.
"Izzy! You're here!" Callie said as she got into the car with Cason following behind her. "I am. I told you guys I'd be picking you up a lot more." I told her making sure they buckled up before we left. I asked them how school was and the whole 15 minute drive from their school to their house Cason told me all about how he got to work on his math problems. I pulled up to their house and let myself in through the garage. Until Cameron came home I did some homework and helped them do some of their homework while their mom made dinner. Cameron's dad is a lawyer and his mom is a realtor. As I was sitting on the couch watching Callie watch Raven's Home on Disney I felt a pair of sweaty arms wrap around me. "Get off! You're sweaty and gross!" I yelped trying to pry Cameron's arms off. "I did just get home from practice. Dinners ready by the way." We ate dinner and worked on our anatomy project for an hour before I decided to head home around 10. "Bye Callie bye Cason bye parents!" I yelled as Cameron and I walked outside. He always watches me get into my car out house just in case something happens. He claims he read some case about a girl who went outside to her car and got killed and it made him paranoid so he tries to help every girl he knows out. "Goodnight Cam!" I yelled to him from my car. I went home and showered and laid down. Today was such a good day but for some reason I couldn't help feeling that some things were going to change.
