You were just about done with your check out when the alarms went off. Lights flashed warning you and others in the library, everyone in the room rushed towards the exit in a frenzy, and the librarian warning you to leave your stuff in the room made you think this was no ordinary drill. That and the voice on the intercom saying it was not a drill and it was a ghost attack.

You shivered as you remember the first night in Amity Park. The familiar chill ran down your spine as you remembered the Box Ghost took possession of your stuff and use them to intentionally hurt you. But another memory flashed with bright hair and bright eyes of the ghost boy, slightly easing your nerves that someone like him was out there saving people like you.

You wondered if you would be lucky again.

People panicked all around you and the screams got louder. You lingered from behind, still confused on where you would be going for a situation like this. You looked around to find what general direction people were running towards or at least away from. There wasn't any as everyone was running in a random direction.

From behind, you heard a scream. It instantly made you look, and you gasped when you saw Sam on her back trying to crawl away from what looked like a tiger approaching her. It admitted a low growl, similar to what the Box Ghost did.

"Look out!"

Before you realized, your body already moved on its own. You lunged your body to pull Sam away from the oncoming claws that you nearly missed. You two rolled to the side with you ending up in between Sam and the ghost.

"[Name]?" she gasped.

You didn't respond out of fear as the tiger ghost readied itself for another attack. You were too afraid to move again as Sam clutched onto your arm. The tiger pried towards you two, seeing you adding to the hunt. You and Sam whimpered silently as it came closer.

"Bad cat!"

A green blast flashed by and hit the tiger away from you two, only mildly surprising it. It growled in a fighting stance when when seeing the ghost boy swoop in.

"Sorry," he said with a smug, "you can't eat pretty girls."

You felt a tug on your arm and looked at Sam's nervous look. "Come on," she said, "let's go!" She lifted you up with your hand and you followed her in a run towards the exit. Your breathing finally caught up to you from the built up adrenaline.

Just when you about to reach the entrance of the school, a claw swiped where your hair was just at from what you saw at the corner of your eye. You yelped in surprise causing Sam's attention. She gasped at the giant bear that was growling.

"No!" the ghost boy shouted but it was already too late before he could intervene. The bear tried to swipe its claw once again.

"Stay away from us!" you shouted. Your eyes closed tight as you covered your head with your arms. You waited for impact, blocking Sam from harm's way. It never came. "Huh?"

There was a flash, and the bear roared in pain. You blinked in bewilderment then looked down at your hands. You found nothing bizarre about them, yet you were the one who caused that. While the bear was stunned, it was sucked into the thermos by the ghost boy before he capes it. He looked at you and Sam.

"Are you two okay?" he asked.

Sam ignored him, asking you, "How did you do that?"

In the back of your thoughts, there was a nagging feeling. Suddenly remembering the red-tinted necklace that was around you, you grasped it. It twinkled from the light as you turned the necklace pendant around in your hand. You sighed, "I have to thank my grandfather for the protection."

"Is that a charm against ghosts?" the ghost boy asked, not daring to come closer and get zapped like the ghost bear did. He eyed it wearily before covering his nose in disgust, "And why does it smell awfully familiar?"

"My grandfather gave it to me this morning," you explained, "He was getting suspicious since the day you first saved me and made me wear this. I'm kinda glad that he did."

"No kidding," Sam laughed, "thanks to your grandfather, it saved us from the bear back there. Not to mention, you saving me from the tiger as well."

"Does this happen often?" you asked the two.

They looked at each other, then back to you, "You have no idea."
