Eddie's P.O.V
Eddie tossed his phone down on his bed and looked in his mirror at his legs, " Disgusting look at those chicken legs. " Eddie shook his head remembering what Richie had told him earlier " Maybe I should call him? " Eddie looked at his bed then back at his mirror " I mean it wasn't anything serious, right? " Eddie walked to his closet and looked around for some sweatpants, he found his grey Nike sweatpants and put them on to cover his new R+E tattoo which was on his right inner thigh and his red shorts didn't cover. " Eddie Bear are you awake? Dinner's ready. " Eddie turned to his door and walked over to open it to find his Sonia standing there " Yes i'm awake I was just about to come down stairs. " Sonia smiled and looked at her baby " Did you take your meds? " Eddie nodded his head followed her downstairs " Did you get hurt? you have a few band aids on your hands? " Eddie looked down at his hands and then back up at his mom " No Beverly just said they'd look nice to match with the sweater I had on today. " Sonia shook her head " That really is a waste of useful items Eddie. " Eddie took his plate from Sonia " I'm gonna eat in my room so I can finish my homework. " Sonia nodded then took her plate and sat in her recliner. Eddie walked back up to his room, he looked out his window to see Richie sitting on the tree branch outside his window. Eddie put his plate down on his desk then unlocked his window to let Richie inside. " Chee? " Richie crawled in " Hey Ed's I was gonna text you but I thought you might be asleep so I came to wake you up. " Eddie closed his window and sat on his bed " For? " Richie sat down next to him " So I could ask you out on a date. " Eddie looked at Richie in surprise " A date? " He looked at his clock " It's almost 9 where would we go? " Richie stood up " That's a surprise i'll be out in my car waiting for you. " Eddie nodded and watched Richie slip out his window, He changed into a cute but also comfy outfit and grabbed Richie's jacket from his closet and rushed down the stairs. " Mommy I'm going out for a little bit i'll be back soon I forgot my school books at Bev's. " Eddie looked at Sonia who was asleep in her recliner, He rushed out of his house and over to Richie's car.
Richie's P.O.V
Richie watched as he mocha eyed angel climbed into his jeep " So Ed's how'd you get out? " Eddie laughed " She was asleep so I wrote a note. " Richie started his car and made sure they were buckled up " You're wearing my jacket, it looks better on you than it ever did on me. " Richie smiled at Eddie " Well then i'll have to raid your closet next time I go to your house. " Richie laughed " I could just take you shopping, that could be our next date if you want? " They pulled up to a diner. " A diner? " Richie grabbed Eddie's hand and got out of the car and pulled him inside, they sat in a booth in the back. " It reminds me of you and your retro aesthetic. " Eddie smiled " They make the best Milkshakes you have to get one. " A waitress came over and handed them menu's " Hi i'm Mishayla, what can I get you guys? " Richie looked at Eddie " Can we have one large Milkshake. " The waitress looked at them " What flavor? " Richie looked at Eddie " Can we get a mix of vanilla and Orange? " The pretty waitress nodded " I'll be right back with that. " Richie looked at Eddie " What's with you and Oranges and Vanilla? " Eddie laughed " It just smells nice and somehow taste amazing! " Richie smiled and held onto Eddie's hands " It better taste amazing or i'm never letting you decide what flavor we get again. " Mishayla returned with the milkshake and two straws. " Anything else? " Eddie looked at her " What flavor cokes do you guys have? " Mishayla looked at Eddie confused " Normal and Diet and cherry and vanilla ? " Eddie frowned " Boo you guys don't have any fun flavors. " Richie laughed " No thanks this is all. " The waitress walked away to go help some other customer " Why'd you ask? " Eddie looked back at Richie " Because when I was 12 Beverly mixed my orange coke with her vanilla coke and that's what got me hooked onto orange and vanilla. " Richie took a sip from the milkshake " So I have Beverly to blame for this wonderful smell on my clothes and bed sheets. " Eddie laughed " Yup, don't complain it's a nice smell. " Richie smiled at Eddie, the two boys drank their milkshake and just admired each other, after they payed for the milkshake Eddie looked at his watch " It's only 9:15. " Richie walked over to his jeep " Only? do you want to do something else Ed's? " Eddie followed behind him " You could spend the night and make my bed sheets smell like cigarettes and lavender? " Richie smiled and blushed at the thought. " Sure thing. "
