Crea's Light

Prologue

Back in the beginning, the very beginning, before the universe even existed, before life, death, even before space and time there was only one thing in existence: Creation. Creation or Crea if you are her friend, was the very powerful entity that started everything. She was the creator of all things, even her own sister, Destruction or Destro for short. Now, the odd thing about Creation and Destruction is that they both possessed emotions, unlike most all powerful entities you've probably read about. Knowing this, you will understand that Crea created her sister because she was lonely and wanted someone to be there for her and help guide her as she grew to understand more and more about her powers. Little did she know, however, that she would soon become a little too careless. At first Destruction was a good sister to Creation. Whenever Crea made a mistake Destro would simply erase it from existence, Destro also would try to help her sister avoid making mistakes. 

One day Destro was lying on the grass in her sister's garden of life, listening to all her sister's different creations as they moved about in the heavens. It was on this day that Creation decided to ask Destruction for permission to create something different than anything else ever created. Creation decided that she wanted to create a new species, not just any species though, a species that was sentient, a species with the ability to think learn and grow, like she and her sister. However she knew that this was risky, so she wanted to hear Destro's opinion on the idea. Destro agreed, and said that they should test out the idea on something easily destroyed, she ultimately coming up with the idea of monsters. Creation then gave Destro some of her magic to use in the making of them. Monsters are sentient beings that are constructed almost entirely of magic. They were very peaceful during the beginning of their existence. Once Crea knew that the monsters were a success, she went on to build another, more sturdy, sentient species. This species would be more physical than the last, though still having magic. As she was constructing it however, she noticed a new kind of magic flowing through the universe. Usually this wouldn't surprise her, she had made magic so that it would be constantly evolving, and changing, but this magic felt different, it was stronger than the rest, and it was a bright red and full of life. Once Crea noticed this she immediately added it to the recipe, not realizing that she was putting her sister's prize species in danger by doing so. The name of that magic was human determination, the very will to stay alive, never give up, and to keep moving forward, no matter the cost, by giving it to the humans, she had ultimately, and accidentally sealed the monsters fate.

When the humans came across the monsters they were almost immediately hostile toward them. You see, they had always considered themselves to be the most intelligent creatures on the planet. however, after witnessing the monsters' obviously superior, and possibly dangerous, magical tendencies and abilities, they were filled with both fear and envy. These feelings festered in many humans for a long time before some of them snapped, the hostile humans attacked the monsters. many of the monster attacked were not prepared for such unusual cruelty. Destruction noticed this and, as punishment, had half of the humans die for their wrongdoings. Creation was furious and fought with her sister. Destruction and creation fought for the space of ten mortal years, not noticing the fact that the humans and monsters where at war as well until it was too late. The humans had killed many of the monsters. Destruction was stricken with grief at this. For as you know, the monsters had been Destro's idea, and because of this, she had grown to have a sort of motherly love towards them, causing her to feel immense pain and sorrow when she saw them slowly being killed off. In a last attempt to save her monsters, she asked humans' king's daughter to convince her father to trap the monsters under the earth, as if to entrap them instead of killing them. However, even after this request was granted, and the earth was hallowed Destro still hated her sister and exiled herself from her realm, but not before taking some of her sisters magic with her so that could create her own realm, and plan revenge. After Destruction created her realm she used the rest of the magic to create her son Darkness who she named Grim Dark Moon, he would control the powers of death and darkness and allow Destruction to rest for she knew that she would need it for the future.

Little did she know that across the realms her sister would soon be lonely again and have a similar  idea. . .

So... what do you think? Was that a good prologue? I've been thinking of writing this story down for a while, but I also want to entertain you, I hope it wasn't too much all at once. 

Also, the banner art was made by me in MS. paint, i think is has perfect foreshadowing.
