charli's pov

the ceiling looked nice... damnit charli, you should be sleeping by now! i tried my best to put myself to sleep but even my trusty classic music strategy couldn't put me to bed. i sighed, how the hell do i make myself sleep?

i was about to cover my face with all my squishy pillows, but the freaking loud music above the ceiling distracted me, great, i can totally sleep now. i tried my best to ignore the blasting music, but something in me just wanted to see what on earth was happening on the other side of this ceiling. well, i guess it wouldn't hurt to go upstairs and check.

and so, i hopped out of bed, slipped on my nike slides and went outside my hotel room. jeez, this hotel's hallway gives me creeps. being the scaredy cat that i was, i hurriedly rushed to the elevator. i sighed in relief, the elevator music calmed me down for a bit.

after a few seconds, i finally hear the elevator's ding, indicating i was finally in the floor, where in the blasting music can be heard. okay, here goes nothing, hopefully it isn't some crazy ass party.

i hid at the side of the door, where i assumed the music came from, and shook my head before peaking. alright, i finally got the guts to peak at the door and when i did, i saw something that my eyes couldn't believe, is that kaycee rice?!

it looked like she was preparing to perform a dance, in front of a crowd of people staring at her, wait, is she a dancer?! at this point, my heart was beating faster than ever, all i could do was look at her. a few seconds passed, and the music finally started, and oh boy was i surprised.

it was only a few seconds into the song, but i could already tell how amazing kaycee was as a dancer. her moves were so graceful and smooth, but at the same time, with swag and emotions, how does she do that?

she was doing these crazy smooth moves and i'm over here just admiring from a far, but the best part of her dance was when the chorus of the song came around,

give me everything that you got, give me give me, give me everything that you got..

"shit", oops— did i just say that out loud? i'm sorry! i couldn't help myself, the way she flipped her hair and her killer smile, who in the world would not fall for her? even her fingers were on beat with the song, i just chuckled, knowing how stupid i probably looked.

the song was ending, and so was her dance, just at the last seconds of her dance rolled around, i saw her catch a glimpse of me. damnit, did she see me? i got so nervous, i didn't know what to do and just hid at the side of the door.

i wanted to stay for awhile and catch more of kaycee, but the sound of footsteps coming closer to the door, just caused me to walk as fast as i can to the elevator.

kaycee's pov

the dance was tiring, no denying, but i ignored all of it when i caught a glimpse of who i thought was charli, charli d'amelio. after my dance, i quickly walked out of the dance floor, as usual, and hurried to the door, hoping she would still be there.

i opened the door as fast as i could, and to my luck, charli was still there, "charli!" i shouted, hopingshe would hear me from 6 feet away, and she did, she turned her back towards me, with her cute but shy smile and killer eyes.

"i—i didn't know you'd be here." i sounded so out of breath and tired. "y—yeah, i actually just got curious about the music on the other side of my ceiling and it lead me here." it was obvious she was shy, but i tried my best to not make it awkward for the both of us.

"great job over there by the way, you did amazing." she complimented me, and i admit, i started to blush. "thanks, would really want to dance with you sometime." wait— is she a dancer too? "you're a dancer too?" i asked, and she just nodded shyly, damn, she looks cute when she's shy.

"that's so cool! if you want, you could attend classes here in la, there's a lot of amazing choreographers who offer classes here, and plus it's great training." i offered to her. she looked hesitant at first, and i doubted if she would actually accept my offer. "you know what, you're right, that is great training, maybe i should attend classes here." oh shoot, did she actually agree?

"no way! i can't wait to see you in classes soon! i know you'll do great." i happily supported her decision, and before you knew it, i hugged her due to too much happiness. that hug felt like eternity, and i don't regret it.

charli's pov

fuck. did she really just hug me? okay, i guess the music on the other side of my ceiling wasn't so bad after all. i just stood there awkwardly when she hugged me, but i couldn't help it but hug her back. damn, her skin was so soft, almost like a baby's skin.

was i really falling for her? no, charli! you just met her! maybe you're just happy and grateful to have met a friend in la, whose a dancer too, that's it, nothing more.

"kayc! your mom is calling!" some girl called kaycee's attention and it seemed like it was her bestfriend.

hearing this, kaycee and i finally let go of our hug and bid our goodbyes, "well, i guess see you soon?" she said, with her hazel brown eyes sparkling. i was too caught up looking at her eyes, which looked like the entire universe were in them, that i forgot to tell her bye, and just stupidly waved at her, as she she accepted her mom's call.

what a night.
