"bye donut, i gotta get ready for dance practice." it was hard to say goodbye, but i had to.  "oops— i almost forgot, i also have dance practice today." gosh charli, i couldn't help but giggle, "not my fault."

"well it's partly your fault." i give her a confused face, "what i meant was, you're too beautiful, that i forgot all my plans today." after she said that, i felt butterflies in my stomach, and my hunger, slowly disappearing.

i froze and just stared at my phone screen, stupidly, not knowing what to say, "anyways, goodbye riceball." that was the last thing she told me, waving her hands goodbye, cutely, before ending the call, and in a blink of an eye, the call ended.

kylie's pov

i hid behind the wall, dividing the living room and the kitchen, for about 30 minutes, just waiting for the perfect time to appear in front of kaycee. i heard the end call sound from kaycee's phone, perfect.

"so tell me munchkin, what's the deal with you and charli?" i appeared out of nowhere, crossing my hands, causing her to to jump lightly from shock. "w—what? what do you mean?" i could tell she was nervous, just from her stuttering.

"ok, let's be more straightforward, you like her?" i raise my eyebrows and silently wait for her answer. i could tell that she was hesitating in answering the question, she took a huge sigh before talking, "kylie, i only see her as a friend." i could tell she was lying, especially when she started playing with her fingers.

i gave her the i know you're lying look and sat beside her, "kayc, i know you're still heartbroken and hurt from what happened with you and mia, but just one advice, never let the past affect your future." i caress her shoulder and hug her, before i left her thinking, while eating her breakfast.

if only kaycee didn't meet mia, yes the mia mugavero, in her past, maybe she wouldn't be as scared to love, as she is now. mia said some pretty messed up things towards kaycee during their relationship, and overall it was just toxic, to the point that i had to initiate their breakup.

i don't know how kaycee still manages to be a strong woman, despite her past, but she's still my little sister, and no matter what happens, i'll be there for her, by her side.
