Taking one final left turn, hands still locked together, Todoroki not willing to let go just yet, Midoriya not really minding anymore, having accepted that he wasn't getting his hand back anytime soon, they arrived at young Midoriya's home.
It wasn't as big or fancy as Todoroki's, compliments to his dad for that, but it was cozy, and it was most definitely home.
"Well, this is me." Said the green-eyed teen, barely tugging on his hand, wondering if the older teen was ever going to give it back.
'He led me the entire way here, it's not like I don't know where my own house is at.' He giggled a little as such thoughts played through his mind.
Feeling the pull, Todoroki realized that Midoriya was slightly blushing, and averting his gaze.
"I guess it is," he said, releasing the boys hand, instantly missing the warmth it brought to his fingers, "thanks for letting me walk you home and thanks for catching me up on the assignment."
He didn't really know how else he was supposed to play this off, never having played the boyfriend role, thought he wasn't Midoriya's boyfriend.
'Yet...' he thought.
Should he walk him to his door? Should he try to hold him back a few more minutes? Should he try going in for a kiss?
'No!' he instantly scolded himself.
"Don't worry about it, Todoroki. We are partners after all." He said, twirling his fingers together, as he rocked back and forth on his heels. He was staring at the ground, not really knowing what much else to say.
"And sorry about disappearing like that. It must have been really confusing." He said trying to calm the younger boy down.
Now he was just dragging it out, he could feel the other teens nervousness, so he decided to wrap it up with one final proposition, hiding his desires within a white lie.
"How about we exchange numbers, you know, in case something similar should arise, we can stay communicated." He said nervously.
Raising his head to look at the older teen, Midoriya's face instantly lit up at that great idea, plus, he didn't really have that many contacts on his phone; just Mom, Uraraka, Iida, and Mrs. Bakugo.
"Yeah, I'd love that. Good thinking Todoroki." He beamed as he took out his cellphone. "Here add yourself," He said exchanging devices with Todoroki, "and I'll add myself on yours."
Taking his phone back, looking for his father's contact, Todoroki looked at Midoriya, trying to memorize his cute soft features.
"Well, I really should get going, it'll get dark soon, and you've got training later." He said, pulling Midoriya into a quick hug before dialing his dad's number and walking away, a soft 'Goodbye!' was heard as his figure disappeared down the road.
Picking up what little dignity he still had left and trying to push down the blush that overtook his face, he whispered his goodbye to Todoroki, as he made his way into his house.
"Mom! I'm home!" He yelled into the house as he sat by his door.
Making quick work of his shoelaces, he took off his shoes and placed them neatly by the pair that belonged to his mother, letting him know she was home.
A small plushy green-haired middle-aged woman could be heard making her way towards the living room to greet her son.
"Welcome home Izuku, how was school? Did your friend come back today?" she greeted, swarming him with questions.
You could say Inko Midoriya was a worry wart when it came to her little Izuku, there was nothing that escaped this lady's sight. If something happened to little Izuku, she'd be the first to know. If he got sick, she'd instantly be by his side taking care of him.
