School already!

I wake up in the middle of the night wanting something to eat. My dad is in the kitchen and he looked at me and said

"you do know you have school in a few hours right?"

"Already! I just got here!"

"I'm sorry but you need to get your education! Back to bed."

I don't want to go, but it doesn't matter how bad of an experience I had in America I still need the education my dad is right. I go back to bed and I try and go back to sleep, but I can't. Some of me is upset that I have to go to school and start over meeting new people, but in all honesty, I'm excited because of starting over and meeting new people!

*BEEEEEEEEEEP * *BEEEEEEEEEEEEP*

I roll over and turn off the alarm clock beeping in my ear. I get up to get a shower and put on the school uniform. I hate uniforms, but I'm trying to make a good first impression.

"HURRY! You're going to be late!"

Late? I just got up? I was wrong I got up an hour ago classes start at 7:30 am and it's 7:15! I run downstairs and I got my Student ID with a picture of me and I have no idea how they got it but they did.  I shout "You could've picked a better picture dad!" All I hear is laughter. It's me in a park and it's my senior year pictures someone screwed up and I look like I wanted to leave, I wasn't smiling or anything!

I run out the front door and my dad is waiting for me in the car. "You're lucky the school isn't that far away from here because if it was you would be late." I roll my eyes and we get there in 5 minutes. 

I was nowhere near ready yet but I look up and saw this huge building, big glass windows, and students walking in the building after bowing to their friends. "I'm not ready for this," I said out loud, but I felt my dads hand on my shoulder  "너 괜찮을거야." ( you will be fine. ) "고마워, 아빠." ( Thank you, dad. ) I take a deep breath and I get out of the car and I walk into the building where I'm greeted by a taller man, I'm assuming he is the principal.

"안녕하세요!" (Hello.) "안녕하세요," I said in return with a bow and he asked me to follow him.

I followed him and he took me to his office where he spoke to me and I expected him to talk in Korean, but he spoke to me in English, "Welcome, I'm glad you have decided to study with us, this school is very proper, as you can tell with the uniforms. We have some rules like every other school, no bullying, and no drug use or anything like that. I want to introduce you to the class president 김종대 ( Chen/ Kim Jong Dae ) I look over to the entrance to the office and I see a guy, tall with dark hair, he has a soft smile, but I can tell he didn't want ot be awake. "안녕하세요." (Hello, memorize that it will be used a lot! ) I waved and I got up and I bowed and then the principal said: "김종대 here, will be taking you to your first class and if you ever need help you can go to him."  I nod and I bow to the principal and then my hand gets grabbed and as fast as I got there I was already on my way to my first class. 

We were silent for a few seconds until he asked "첫 수업은 무엇입니까?" ( What's your first class? ) "한국어 말하기." (Korean Speaking, sort of an English class but in Korean. ) "나도!" ( Me too! ) I was shocked! I guess he got tired of speaking Korean and he said, "you seem very nice! We should talk more after school." "Okay, but I'm going to see you a lot today because I have no idea where I'm going." "What's your name?" "Kailia." "The headmaster told you my full name, but please call me Chen. We are here!" I look up at the door and I walk in and everyone is looking at me and I feel out of place. To my shock, everyone wanted to get to know me and everyone treated me well. I was bullied in America and I never felted wanted, but now I feel like I got the new start I wanted. 

Lunchtime! Everyone loved my student ID picture and I already had so many friends. One girl I got along with was 김제니. ( Jennie/ Kim Jennie ) "How did you get into this school?" "I don't know honestly, you tell me that this is a school for people who can sing dance and draw so I'm good at one out of those three." "Sing?" She asked, and I replied "No, draw. I can't sing." She rolled her eyes like she didn't believe me. "Most of us here are training to be k-pop idols, I want to hear you sing something, sign up for the talent show this Friday, who knows you may be better than you think!"  I thought about it and I took her advice. 

"Chen!" I said, he turned around with a smile "Well Kailia, you don't just shout my name for nothing, are you alright?" "Yes, I just need help finding 수학." ( math ) He beckoned me to follow him and turns out I was going the right way, just made a wrong turn. "Hey before you go I would like to hang out after school, let you meet the other members." "Other members?" "I'm sure you want to, meet me at the entrance and we will go hang out." He left me in a state of confusion, he isn't who I think he is right? I texted my dad telling him that I was hanging out with Chen and he said to have fun and try not to pass out. At that point, I realized that I was talking to Chen from EXO! I walk into math and I made eye contact with someone, he had red hair and a cute face, he winked at me and pointed to the set in front of him. I was the only one standing so I decided to sit there. 

"당신은 길을 잃은 것 같습니다. 여기 새로 왔니?" ( You seem lost. Are you new here? ) "나는 새롭다." ( I am new ) "You speak Korean well to be new?" "My dad lives here actually."Welcome, I am 김준면, ( Suho/Kim Jun Myeon )but call me Suho." "Well, my name is Kailia. I love your music by the way!" I shocked him and then he grinned and the class started.

It was a struggle and Suho noticed my struggle and asked, "do you need help?" "I will eventually, math isn't my best subject." He nodded and he said, "I'll help you when you need it." 

It's over! School is over for the day. I met Chen at the entrance and he said "we are waiting for the others! We all get into one car, we have room for one more person." I was thinking and I thought about how lucky I was to get the final seat in the car. I blink and everyone starts to show up and I start recognizing people Kai, Sehun, D.O., Suho again, Xiumin, Chanyeol, Lay, and Baekhyun. "Everyone this is.." "Kailia." Suho said, "I know who she is, we have math together." Everyone came up to me and D.O. said to me "매우 아름다운." ( very beautiful. ) "감사합니다!" ( Thank you!" ) With that, we all get into this huge SUV, and they put me in the front with D.O. driving and I look into the view mirror and saw someone staring at me.
