1. Hide in an actual closet. When your parents find you and ask what you're doing in there, stand up and say "Relax, I'm coming out now."
2. Write them a letter explaining, in great detail, how you've murdered someone and need help hiding the body. End the letter with "P.S. Just kidding, I'm gay."
3. Do it randomly in the middle of everyday conversation. For example, at dinner: "School today was fine - I'm gay- could you pass the salt?"
4. Just mention it casually, like: "Brandon asked me to the dance today. I can't believe he didn't know I was a lesbian." If your parents act surprised, look at them like they're crazy and say "Uh, don't you remember? I told you forever ago. You were totally cool with it."
5. Make your own "I'm Gay" poster and hang it up somewhere random.
6. Bake a beautiful rainbow cake with I'M GAY written on it in frosting. This one's awesome because it's hard to be homophobic when you're eating cake.
7. Before Christmas, put something gay related in your own stocking. When you pull it out on Christmas morning, turn to your parents and say "I love it! How did you know???"
8. Tell them "Happy Opposite Day, I'm straight."
9. Make a hangman game that spells out "I'm gay."
10. On Halloween, where a t-shirt with "I'm gay" written simply on it. When your parents see you, suddenly look down and say. "Oh crap, I forgot to dress up!"
11. When watching tv with your parents, randomly comment on how hot someone of your same gender is.
12. Get a ruler and a slinky. Show them the ruler and say "This is you." Show them the slinky and say "This is me." If they don't get it, proceed with a number of other straight and curvy objects, and see how long it takes them to figure it out.
13. The classic knock knock joke method:
You: "Knock knock."
Them: "Who's there?"
You: "Gay."
Them: "Gay who?"
You: "Gay me. Hi."
