Ballade: Death Undone
Seems that I have left behind the world my heart hated to endure,
For there, I was unravelled and alone; a mere mystery searching for forever;
Searching, of a familiar heart to hold...till you came to make my blood perilously soar.
You came to me as gems of soft yellows, oh! What a petty, pretty mystery you were!
And you held me in your addictive, metallic pincers in a corner among shadows unfamiliar.
A beacon of dark exhilaration; you'll never know how hotly my toes curled
When the rush of your voice, crooned in my veins "hereafter, we reign elsewhere together."
And Ecstasy exploded behind my blinded eyes; for soon, I'll belong to Death's netherworld.
Seems that I have slipped again towards the inevitable end, through my forbidden door;
And I've let go of the key to my sad salvation to the Darkness awaiting me under.
And Darkness carried me down; down to the sweet netherworld, which I've longed for, Forevermore...
And there, I loved dear Death so, that Death himself came undone within my never-ending slumber.
And Death's embrace were a series of sugar-coated shivers, while my life sizzled in the thunder!
And there, within the hideous Seductions of my Limbo, I was a Queen unfurled.
And so, I begged dear Death to never let me go; he only grasped me ever tighter,
And Ecstasy exploded behind my blinded eyes; for soon, I'll belong to Death's netherworld.
Seems that in Death have I found my perfect lover, and my heart shall yearn nevermore;
For every day I win a new nightmare; love another magnificent monster and feel Death watching me over.
And bathing in my newfound dark euphoria, my wicked Promise Land I tour.
And yet...deep. Deep inside my slumber, a cluster of voices weep louder; stronger; "Murderer!"
A killer. Of dreams and wishes and life and of hope. Of mine and of hundreds other.
And grows inside my chest the immortal tree of black guilt as my skin turns pearled
And I scream! Scream for Death to bury me under, under, under rivers of black silt and water...
And Ecstasy exploded behind my blinded eyes; for soon, I'll belong to Death's netherworld.
Seems that Death has come at last, to whisk me away for forever within his shadowed wings grandeur;
And his fiery hands I take while my earthly aches in his ever darker mists are slurped;
For I'd rather die a hero in my eyes, than suffer life's mercurial tides a monster...
And Ecstasy explodes behind my blinded eyes; for now, I belong to Death's netherworld.
