Reasons To Hate You

As Darkness Falls

I padded through the forest with my mind on Shay. As I walked, I bumped into something warm and furry. My heart stopped when I looked to see who it was Shay!. I lashed out my paw, claws unsheathed, and raked the side of his muzzle.

"Ouch! What was that for?!" He wailed

"Everything you've done!" I turned my back and stubbornly stuck my in the air.

"Listen Sunni....." He began. I turned back around and looked at him, my eyes filled with anger "I'm sorry...." Shay whispered.

"Hmph! Like it would be that easy!" I growled. Turning back around, I rushed in the opposite direction

By now you are all probably wondering what Shay did. He killed my parents and my syblings. He tried to kill me but I got away. I wanted revenge, I soon ran into Muk and told her the whole story. She said she would help.

I remeber my past like it was yesterday, everytime I see Shay, i'm reminded of it. My heart longs to see my family again, but I know that won't happen anytime soon, they are dead, and I need to accept that. My tail dragged behind me as I walked away from Shay, part of me wanted to forgive him. I turned around and seen hurt fill his eyes. I just snorted and kept walking But after what he did, I will never forgive or forget anytime soon!.  The pattering of pawsteps sounded behind me and I turned around to see Shay following me. I unsheathed my claws and half snarled, half growled at him "When will you learn to take a hint!"

"Please...Please... Forgive me Sunni" His paws scuffled around.

"Prove that your sorry" I muttered. Shay's ears perked up.

"Alright!" He barked joyfully. Something about the way he looked at me and how he sounded when he spoke to me, told me something wasn't right. He looked as if he was defeated by an invisble enemy. I noticed the cut I gave him earlier, the blood had dried and now crusted around the wound. I was satisfied, I put that mutt in his place. Shay then stopped and placed his paw in front of me. "What?" I barked.

"I smell... One of them..." His voice rose to a growl.

"One of who?" I asked, confusion filled my gaze. Shay began to growl as some weird looking wolf padded out of the shadows.

"Well, what do I see here, Shay is that you" The strange wolf barked and he peered at me and Shay. Shay looked at the wolf, pure hatred overcame his gaze as he stared at the stranger.

"What do you want Ruby?!" He growled.

"Oh me?, I'm just here to deliver a message from my alpha." Ruby barked "He said: Watch where your tredding mutt! You betrayed us and started this war, and I will end you." My eyes flew open in shock as Ruby finished what she was saying. Shay snarled

"Get outa here!"

"Sure thing, mutt!" She replied. A few moments later Ruby had plunged into the shadow and the soft thud of paws told me that she had left. I wanted to ask Shay some questions but by the way he looked as we trudged on, I decided the questions could wait.
