I awoke to the warmth of a body pressing against mine. Looking over, I recognized the wolf Shay. My heart leaped as I remebered everything that had happened before I passed out 'H-he said he loved me...' I thought to myself. I tried to not think about it but it kept entering my mind and corrupting my thoughts. Sighing I stood up, Shay lifted his head and yawned, looking at me. "You're awake now?" he barked.
"Ya don't say!?!?" I gasped sarcasticly, Shay let out a burst of laughter which awoke Shirley
"Ugh! What's so funny" She growled sleepily. Shay pressed against my side and barked
"Oh nothing~". I smiled and licked his ear. Pulling myself away from him, I nudged Shirley to her paws before she had a chance to fall back asleep.
"Get up Mousebrain! We gotta get going." I barked. She nodded and stood up, walking outside with me and shay. We walked for a few hours, Shirley was lagging behind, I kept a look out for 'Dark Ones". Suddenly Shirley stopped and we both looked at her "What's the hold up?" I asked tilting my head slightly.
"Lets stop and eat something" she barked right before her stomach growled. Me and Shay laughed while Shirley growled "That's not funny!"
"Alright!" I stopped laughing and snapped everyone's attention to me "We'll all go seperate directions! Shay you go that way, and Shirley you go that way!" I said pointing to two different directions. "I'll go this way!" I pointed with my tail towards an area filled with dense undergrowth. They nodded and we all headed off in our appointed directions.
After a while of hunting we all met back where we started. Shay had caught a thrush, Shirley a starling, and me a large hawk. We layed out catch down and began to eat. Me and Shay sat side by side, our fur blending together. "That hawk you caught is huge!" he barked in awe.
"Yea, it wasn't very hard actually" Shay licked my ear and I looked over at Shirley. Her blue eyes were glowing as she stared at me, a smirk was formed on her face. Shirley was sitting in an extremly dark little corner, and I mean so dark that her white pelt doesn't even show in it. I flicked my ear, dismissing it. She stood up and looked at them all "Come on guys, if you're all done here then we've got to get going again!"
