Mireia had calmed down in time for dinner, but she still refused to look at Draco, who lay sprawled on the couch.
Luna noticed this and tapped her daughter on the head, as if to tell her she knew very well what she was doing.
Mireia frowned and wrinkled her nose. "Mom, what's for dinner?"
A smile played on Luna's mouth. "I made soup," she glanced knowingly at Mireia's disgusted face. "And your going to eat it."
After setting the table and wrestling with Mireia over who got the head of the table chair, she helped Draco up.
He flashed a sudden smile at her that made her blush like they were falling in love all over again.
It was almost like everybody except Mireia had forgotten the afternoons incident.
He sat at the head table and Mireia glared at him most of the dinner, the other half was spent staring with her nose scrunched up and her lips curled down at the pea soup.
Draco are slowly and fumbled with the spoon countless times before tossing the spoon into the bowl with a clunk and staring stonily at the floorboards.
Luna clicked her tongue inside her mouth and tapped her toes under the table.
"Mireia, eat."
Mireia sipped a small bit of soup into her mouth and pretended to choke and fall on the floor from poisoning.
Luna had to laugh for a little while.
"Draco, are you ok?" She asked, eyeing him worriedly.
Draco shook his head, strands of his platinum hair falling into his eyes.
"The soup, it's like what they served us at Azkaban." He said hoarsely.
Luna stood and whispered a small oh as she gathered his plate and stared down at the floor awkwardly as she placed in the sink.
"Do you want jam and bread?" She asked quietly, shaking her head at a questioning Mireia, who surely wanted some as well.
Draco nodded and slumped in his seat, not looking at all like the smirking boy of her childhood.
She placed the jam and bread in front of him and wiped the table afterwards, she had sprayed crumbs all over the place.
Mireia spilled her soup multiple times until Luna sent her harshly to her room, tired of her insolence.
Luna cleaned up the table and washed the dishes, before helping Draco to the couch and pulling our Monopoly, a muggle game she'd found at the store.
"What is that?" Draco asked.
"Haven't you ever played it? Me either, but it looks fun." Luna placed it on the coffee table and sat at the edge of the sofa, hands in her lap, twisting a piece of string.
"Go ahead and open it."
Luna slowly inched the tape off and slid the lid up, revealing paper instructions, two dice, and cards.
She gave the instructions to Draco and pulled the game board out, beginning to set everything up like it looked on the box cover.
"Did I do it right?" She asked, peeking over his shoulder as he read.
He nodded and snatched some playing pieces from the box.
"There's a car, a boat, a duck, and a cat." Draco told her, gesturing towards the pile.
"I'll be the cat."
"Ok."
They put their pieces on the GO space and stared at the board intently.
"Who goes first?" Draco asked.
"Me, I'm the youngest."
They rolled the dice, quite awkwardly, and then began to play, trying to make the best out of it.
Luna felt glad she's managed to make him laugh and fling his head back like he used too, making the spark in his eye glint in the candlelight.
When they went to bed he leaned over and left a kiss on her cheek, making her blush furiously.
For the first time in 5 years they slept facing each other
