I gulped. I froze. What if I'm not allowed to go to Dauntless?

I looked over to Matt and noticed his worried look. I saw him mouth "walk over there" with his hand gesturing towards Dauntless. So I did. I walked confidently towards my new faction and suddenly they started applauding. Thank god. After I reached them, Dauntless were the first to get up and leave. I looked over to Matt one last time and we grinned at each other excitedly.

Once we were out the doors all the Dauntless members started running and I followed. I smiled while I ran but suddenly they started climbing up the yellow metal posts that lead up to the train. I waited until the guy reached the top before I started climbing in case he fell down. Wouldn't wanna get torn down with him. It wasn't really that hard in fact I was pretty fast at the top standing with a few other Dauntless waiting for everyone to reach the top.

Everyone ran next to the railway line and I just did the same not exactly knowing why but when I saw the train appearing I understood. We were gonna jump into the moving train. I was behind a door in the middle of the train and ran for a few more seconds before I grabbed onto it and pulled myself in smoothly earning weird looks from everybody. They were looking at me like I was an alien. Just because I come from Amity. I rolled my eyes at them and sat down somewhere to rest up from the sprint.

I looked to my right and next to me sat a blond girl- "Lizzie?" I said catching her attention. "Oh my god. Riona!" she said hugging me. "I didn't think I'd ever see you again from the day your.. uh.." she said gulping. "Yeah I know. It changes me. That's why I didn't stay at Amity." I explained. "Well I'm glad you're here. I know it's been some time but we were best friends once. We may have changed but we can still be friends." she said full of hope. "Yeah of course I'd love that." I said smiling.

"Get ready." a dark skinned muscular guy said walking to the opposite wall of the open doors. He ran out of the door and landed on top of a building. "Cool let's follow." I said enthusiastically to Lizzie. "Pass." she scoffed. I rolled my eyes smiling and pulled her up by her arm to the same wall everyone else was standing. "On three. 1..2..3!" I counted before we started running and jumping out of the moving train onto the building. I landed on my feet and rolled over so the landing wouldn't be that hard. Once I was standing again I looked for Lizzie and I found her a few feet next to me lying on the floor. "Get up the others are gathering at the edge." I told her holding both my arms out for her to grab so I could pull her up.

"Alright listen up! I'm Eric. One of your leaders." a man said standing on the two foot tall wall which was build around the edges of the roof. "If you wanna enter Dauntless.. this is the way in. And if you don't have the guts to jump then you don't belong in Dauntless." Eric told us. He seems very intimidating. "Is there water at the bottom or something?" a tall brown haired guy asked a foot away from me. "I guess you'll find out." Eric said challenging. "Or not." "He's gotta be kidding." Lizzie said annoyed from my left. "Someones gotta go first who's it gonna be?" he asked. It was very quiet and nobody said anything but before thinking like an instinct I confidently said "I'll do it." and walked to the front where Eric was standing.

The other initiates were all looking at me. I guess they didn't expect that from an Amity. Eric jumped down from the small wall and I leaned over to see what was awaiting me but there was just a big hole going through several floors of a building that was now destroyed. "Alright." I said and got up on the wall. "She doesn't have the guts to do it Im telling you she'll probably pass put or something." one of the guys said. I turned around on the wall so that I wasn't facing the big whole Im supposed to jump into anymore but the the group of new Dauntless members and our leader. "Watch me." I said bitter and scoffed and held both my arms up holding up my middle finger. Then not wasting any time I made a backflip into the hole and saw faces on the edge watching me.
