~five years later~

King's Cross station was busier than usual. It is a busy train station, but there was something about the first day of September that made it one of the busiest days of the year. Businessmen and women running around, couples saying goodbye to each other, lost kids going up to officers to ask for help, and witches and wizards running through the wall between platforms 9 and 10.

The Hogwarts Express was getting ready to take the students back to Hogwarts, some of them for the very first time. One of the first-year students, Sirius Black, was trying to find a compartment to sit when he ran into another person, making both of them fall down. Sirius Black moved his raven-black hair out of the way to find a brown-haired boy trying to find something on the ground.

"Sorry mate," Sirius said "I should've been more careful."

"It's okay," the brown-colored hair boy said "but I can't find my glasses"

Sirius noticed the boy's round glasses laying on the floor in front of the compartment door. Before he could grab them, the door of the compartment opened and a boy stepped outside accidentally crushing the boy's glasses.

"Bloody hell..." the brown-haired boy said.

"Sorry," the boy that came out of the compartment said, "I saw you crash and I wanted to see if I could help."

He reached down to grab the broken glasses and looked inside the compartment at the other boy that was sitting there.

"Remus ?" the boy asked, "Could you maybe help me fix these ?"

Remus put down his book and walked over to the compartment door. He took the glasses in his hand and looked at them.

"I don't know Peter," he said, "the damage seems unfixable."

"Oh no..." Peter and the brown-haired boy said in unison.

"I'm just joking," Remus said chuckling "I can fix them. But I think it is best for all of you to come inside the compartment to clear the corridors, the train is about to leave."

Sirius stood up and helped the other boy get up and into the compartment. Peter and Remus sat on the other side, Peter fidgeting nervously with his fingers. Remus took out his wand and pointed it at the glasses.

"Oculus Reparo."

A quick bright white light shot out of his wand and fixed the glasses. He handed them to the brown-haired boy.

"Blimey," the boy said as he put the glasses on "They look better than they did this morning ! Thank you - erm - Remus, right ?"

"Yes," Remus confirmed "And it was nothing. Just a simple spell that my mother uses to fix my father's glasses."

"And a bloody good one !" the brown-haired boy said "By the way, I'm James. James Potter."

"Remus Lupin"

"I'm Peter Pettigrew."

"Black. Sirius Black."

The three boys looked at each other and then back to Sirius. They couldn't believe there was a member of the Black family in their compartment.

"I'm sorry I bumped into you," James said quickly "I-I wasn't looking where I was going."

"It was my fault," Sirius admitted "I should've been more aware that there were other people looking for compartments. If anything I am sorry."

James and the other two boys watched Sirius with bewildered looks on their faces.

"What ?" he asked, "Did I break my nose when I bumped into James ?"
