  Short Chapter

(Y/N) did not sleep that night. Her phone was blowing up, not allowing her to even get a blink in. She didn't know why it was blowing up so much, she hadn't posted in months.

At 6am, she finally looked at her phone. She had multiple people at-ing her on ONE post, and a few of them had even dm-ed her.

Her fight with her mother had made it to the news. Being a famous, professional athlete, she always had a camera on her.

(Y/N) threw her phone in frustration. It hit her wall and plopped onto her bed. She got ready for her day, angrily. After a while, she hopped into her car and drove to her practice.

Press was at the door and had swarmed her car when she parked. The poor girl just continued to walk as the press tried to talk to her. Microphones and cameras were shoved in her face. Her face was left emotionless as she tried to make her way to the doorway. Usually, the walk from her normal parking spot was 2 minutes. With the press, she was halfway there and it took 6 minutes.

"Took you long enough." Maiji called out as she watched the team ace shut the door in the press's face.
She grunted and just got ready for practice. She slung her sports bag into her locker and placed her water bottle on the bench with the other bottles.

Her team could tell it wasn't her day and tried not to get in her way during the whole practice.

"Calm down." Akaashi pointed his fork at her. "You're scaring everyone off."

The two were at a cafe, eating cake and drinking coffee.

"I'm sorry," she sighed. "I'm just stressed. I was in America for god's sake! How did they find out?!"
Akaashi shoved a piece of cake in her mouth to shut her up. "Just eat."
(Y/N) pouted and ate the rest of her piece while Akaashi took her mind off her problems by talking about random topics.

In all honesty, she was thankful for him. He really knew what to do with every single one of her problems. He joked, saying he had a lot of practice with Bokuto.

The two ended up back in her apartment, eating more food and drinking more coffee. Akaashi was facetiming Bokuto while (Y/N) was facetiming her cousin, Iwaizumi.

"Your mom still on about Ushiwaka?" Iwaizumi asked. "And volleyball?"
(Y/N) nodded and took a bite of the one giant cake her and Akaashi were eating. "Disowned me for following my dreams, kinda funny."
"I can talk to Auntie if you want."
(Y/N) waved him off and asked him how college was for him.

After eating all of the cake and hanging up on the two aces, (Y/N) was washing the forks the used while  Akaashi was taking a shower.

"I'm still surprised you have these." Akaashi walked out wearing some of his old clothes. He had left them behind once and both had thought that he had gotten them back. "But, er, I still don't have a shirt."

The third year setter walked into the living room in just grey sweats. (Y/N) had to admit, he looked good in grey.

"Just look in my closet and find a shirt that works." She plopped onto the couch, "We both know I have shirts that are a tad bit too oversized." Akaashi laughed as he made his way to her room, and grabbed a white shirt that fit him.

"How are you and Ushiwaka?" He asked, plopping down next to her.
(Y/N) sighed, "I have...no clue. We're still on break, but I have no clue what's happening."
Akaashi laughed, "You guys will be fine."
  "How are you so sure?"
"Because I've seen both the looks in your eyes."

  "Akaashi, you little cupid!"
"(Y/N), you don't have to punch me!"

It became a daily thing of walking through a crowd of press every day, no matter where she was. (Y/N) even had some of them coming to her apartment.

"She isn't my daughter!" The voice of her mother rang through her living room as the ace flipped through channels. She dropped the remote when she saw the face and heard the voice.
"If whatever her name wants to play volleyball, I don't care! If she wants to date that boy, I don't care. She isn't apart of this family anymore!"

Her mother kept going in how much she was a disgrace, later the video was cut because she had cussed multiple times and it was getting violent.

"As you saw, (L/N)'s mother has spoken about the situation. (L/N), herself, is yet to speak. Stay tuned as we keep you update on this family break out!"

(Y/N) turned the tv off and just sat there. It did hurt to hear the woman who raised her say those words. No tears were flowing. The ace just sat there. Numb.
