One Touch! (Ushijima Wakatoshi x Reader

[Out of Reach]

  The door slammed open, scaring the two inside.

  "What the hell, Ushijima!" Maiji yelled. "You could have opened it like a normal person!"
  The man looked the two in the eyes. It's been a month or two since they've last seen each other, but it sure felt longer. "Where is she?"
  "Who?"

  "(Y/N), idiot." Gina gave Ushijima a glass of water. "Look, hun, your girl ain't here."
  Maiji sighed, "In fact, she isn't even in this country!"

  "What?" Ushijima still had his composure but he was about to lose it.
  Gina nodded, "She's in the US for family stuff. Oh, and volleyball too."
  Ushijima nodded and apologized for intruding, making the girls laugh.

  And that's how these three ended up on a plane with the rest of their team to the US. Coincidentally they had matches in the US, not like (Y/N) knew. But she was about to find out when the two teams show up at her doorstep and drag her away.

  Her doorbell rang at 7am. Seriously? Who is up at 7am?! (Y/N) rubbed her eyes and made her way to the door. She was currently at her parents' house, with the rest of her family. Her mom wanted them all there for a bit.

  When she opened the door, all she heard was yells. Opening her eyes from yawning, she saw her teammates and the boys team. Nani?

  She was then in someone's arms, and the warmth was familiar. She hugged back, taking in his scent of berries. "Hi Wakatoshi."
  "Hi (Y/N)."

  "Okay, lovebirds cut it out." Both captains said at the same time.
  "Yeah, lovebirds." (Y/N)'s mom sang as she walked behind her daughter.

  (Y/N) pulled away and frowned. "Why- er- you guys here?"
  "We have matches here." Her captain laughed, "We may have forgotten to tell you before you went on this trip."
  The ace sighed, "Good going, Cap."

  "We should get going if we want to make it to warm ups." The male captain pointed out. "By we, I mean you guys."
  "Wait, we have a game and you didn't tell me? I'm in my pajamas!" (Y/N) pointed out her plaid pajama pants and hoodie, as well as her messy hair.
  "My bad!"

  (Y/N) groaned, "Go to the stadium, text me the location, and I'll be there in a bit."
  "You won't be able to start if you're now getting ready." Maiji spoke.
  "I don't care," the ace took her hair out of the bun, "I'll meet you guys there." That's when she slammed the door in her face and ran into the guest room to get ready.

  "And where do you think you're going?" Her mom's voice rang. "We have family breakfast."
  "Well, I have team game." (Y/N) snapped back.

  The two's relationship hasn't been the greatest. They never agreed on anything, and were always fighting.

  "Your aunts, uncles, and cousins are here! You can't just leave!" Her mom yelled as she reached for the door to leave. The mentioned relatives stared as the two fought.
  "I'm already late and I'm the ace!" (Y/N) screamed. "I don't care right now!"
  "Young lady, step out of this house and don't even think of coming back."
 
  (Y/N) felt the pain. Her mother was going to kick her from the family just because she was following her dream. "So be it. I'll be back to grab my stuff later." With that, she slammed the door shut.

  "Look! (Y/N) is on tv!" Lana, (Y/N)'s younger cousin pointed out. Lana played basketball and soccer but was interested in volleyball. Sadly, her mother wouldn't allow it, like (Y/N)'s.
