HER STOMACH TWISTED and pulled and Lorelei thought she was going to be sick as she fell through the portal since she felt like she was being pulled and stretched apart, only to be put together again and she could feel her organs begin to shift and pull as she grew one size bigger and two sizes bigger until she was the size of a regular teenage girl
Just before she fell straight through the portal
Lorelei landed with a hard thud and a moan passed through her lips as she felt discomfort spread through her limbs and muscles. Suddenly everything seemed so oversensitive for the fairy in the next few moments, it was like she could hear everything to the noises cars on the streets below to. the beating of peoples heart and the little gasps they let out when they saw the girl crash through the ceiling
The fairy in training moved her hands to cover her ears as everything seem to be too loud for her to handle at that moment but eventually everything seemed to die down and she wasn't wincing in pain because of the blaring noise anymore and Lorelei found it hard to even hear the whispering around her which was unusual since fairies generally had excellent hearing -- they could hear more than an average human
Then everything came crashing down on her, like a wave of water
She remembered it all from running away to falling through a portal to the human world that made her grow to the size of an average teenage girl and then landing on a hard surface. The recollection of it all made the girl sit up right rubbing her forehead in pain
"Are you alright?" She heard a soft voice ask and Lorelei looked up to see a dark skinned girl peer down at her through concerned eyes and she nodded her head as she flushed a deep red colour at the about of eyes that were on her in that moment but luckily the brunnete girl managed to nod her head before standing up swaying ever so slightly as she was still trying to get used to being on such long legs unfortunately she couldn't manage to stay up and ended up falling back onto the floor
Once again Lorelei grunted in pain as she rubbed her head and then sat up as the teenagers and the teacher continued to gawk at her like she was something other worldly -- which technically she was but she didn't look like it after all she had grown to the size of a normal human being, only the dark skinned girl seemed to try and help
"Whoa. Whoa" She said as she stood up and walked into the middle of the room, sticking her hand out to pull Lorelei up and the former fairy hesitantly gives the girl her hand and lets the dark skinned girl pull Lorelei up onto her feet and steady her as the girl continues much to the confusion of Lorelei "Are you alright? Mr Harrington I think she needs to go to the nurses office"
"I'm fine" Lorelei speaks slowly, slightly dazed
"No you're not" The girl countered concern etched on her face which confused Lorelei to her core, why was this human being being so nice when she didn't even know who Lorelei was or what had happened to her, she wasn't even curious as to how the former fairy had landed in the middle of the classroom, she was just concerned about her wellbeing and Lorelei felt that more than ever as she grabbed the former fairy's hand and pulling her towards the door "Come on, I'm taking you
"Miss Allan" Mr Harrington stated just as the pair reached the door "Don't forget about the meeting after school. If we want to go to the championship next year then we need to start preparing now!"
"Yeah Mr Harrington, I'll be there" The girl -- Miss Allan -- answers
She doesn't wait for another moment as she grabs Lorelei hand and pulls her into the hallway as Miss Allan guides the former fairy down the hallway much to the amusement and surprise of the. brunette girl who was constantly peering into classrooms on the way to the nurses office to find even more humans who were equally just as thirsty for knowledge as the teenagers in the classroom that they had just left
"What is this place?" Lorelei asked, marvelling at the sight as she couldn't focus on one thing at a time. She wanted to drink it all in, leave no stone or whatever this place was unturned and then she heard the dark skinned girl let out a little laugh before looking at the former fairy in confusion
"You're kidding right?" The girl asked before seeing the awed look on Lorelei's face and soon her disbelieving look morphed into one of confusion as she comes closer to Lorelei to check the girl for a bump or signs of concussions "Maybe you did hit you're head so hard, I'll have to get the nurse to check that out --"
"So what is this place?" Lorelei asks, practically bouncing in place
"This is school, you know what that is right?" The girl asked and although Lorelei had heard about what school was from the other fairies that visited the Earth realm, but she didn't know all about it but she didn't want to bombard the girl with questions, after all she was the only one who was being kind to her after she fell through the portal and landed in a strange place
"Yeah" Lorelei mumbled before she brightened up "Are you really called Miss Allan?"
"No silly! My actually name is Liz" The girl told her sticking her hand out for Lorelei to shake which she does so with hesitance, not exactly knowing how a handshake was supposed to go, but eventually she does actually shake Liz's hand "What's yours?"
"Lorelei" Lorelei told her, smiling slightly
"Well Lorelei, lets get you to the school nurse" Liz tells her, grabbing her hand.
