View point: Roman, first person.
I heard noises coming from Virgil's room. I tried opening the door, but it was locked. It was two in the morning and whatever Virgil was doing in his room woke me up. I knocked on the door, but there was no answer. I got a bobby pin from when I did Patton's hair the other day from my pocket. I picked the lock on the door and opened it and walked into Virgil's room. Virgil was tossing and turning in his bed wimpering and whispering complete gibberish as tears fell down his face.
"Virgil?" I whispered, but he didn't hear me. I walked over to his bed and sat down at his side.
"Virgil?" I said a little louder this time and nugded at his shoulder. He shot awake and sat up straight faster than I had ever saw somone do before. He just stared at the wall in front of him for a few seconds before he started looking frantically around the room. He started panting and gasping for air, he calmed down once he knew he was safe.
"Oh...Roman...it's...just...you..." he studdered. He was now calm enough to breath properly. He pressed his knees to his chest and more tears fell down his cheeks. I brushed the away the tears and fixed his messed up eyeshadow leftover from yesterday with my thumbs.
"Are you ok?" I asked with worry. He brushed my hands away from his face and pressed his knees to his chest even closer.
"I...I'm fine..." he mumbled. I wasn't satisfied. I knew he was lying.
"Are you sure" I urged, but I knew there was no hope. I knew he wasn't going to budge. He rolled over onto his side facing away from me.
"Leave me alone," he begged, I could hear him cry a little. I had no idea what happened. I wanted to know so I could comfort him, but I knew if he wasn't going to tell me I wasn't going to make him. I want him to know that when he's with me he is safe.
