[Nooooot edited yet :)) ]

A few words before y'all can read the actual chapter, don't worry it'll be short!
I'm moved by all the publicity this story is getting, I would've never fathomed more than 5 people reading it at first to be honest :)
Also- I'm sorry for the delay, with this crazy shit happening and quarantine It's been continually harder for me to motivate myself, however I made the chapter!

Emotional rollercoaster ahead!

Mario's PoV:

In time with the first rays of light entering through the window wall my eyes fly open, my night nothing like a deep slumber and more of an episode of overthinking and holding a trembling Zale to my chest. I still don't know what happened yesterday, hell I don't know what happened like ever!, but his condition yesterday was a complete throwback to the supermarket. He had smaller breakdowns during the few days he's been here until now, but none of them were this extreme, they were more like crying fits. Yesterday he was petrified.

With a heavy sight I carefully untangle my limbs from Zale's, who is still fast asleep, eyes and nose a puffy red from his crying. As much as I love sleeping in one bed with him, I really wish it wouldn't become a habit of always being in such horrible circumstances and shapes- I want to hold him tight, small smile on his face and cheeks forming a cute blush, not with his pain-stricken features and tears descending his cheeks.
I drag myself to the bathroom and do my usual morning routine, before deciding to pay a visit to Zale's room in order to get him his glasses and phone that he'll no doubt search first thing when he wakes up later. The halls are still quiet, the clock barely reading 7 am- meaning Linda is bound to stand up or prepare a few things in the kitchen around now, and I wander down one door to the guest room, stepping in to find the light still on. Zale must've forgotten to turn it off in yesterdays shape.

His phone calles to me quickly as it openly lays on the nightstand next to the bed, however his glasses are nowhere to be seen. Lifting sheets and crouching down to look under the bed I search bottom to top next to the bed and then moving to the bathroom next- the highest likely place for him to have forgotten them. Sure enough I see them laying on the counter by the sink, the glass a little greased and hardly clear to look through, I rinse them under the stream of water for a few seconds before drying them with the hem of my newly put on shirt.

Looking through the appendage skeptically over and over ,I repeat to wipe the surface with the fabric until I'm satisfied with it's cleanness. I'm about to exit the room again, when suddenly a piece of paper catches my eye. It's scrunched up and next to the toilet on the tiled floor, partially hidden by the bowl.

Curiously I pick the piece up and smooth out the paper with one hand, mindful of Zale's glasses in the other and indulge in the neat handwriting on it for a second before reading the letter, although I know I probably shouldn't since it's his privacy. But I still do.

'Hello Zale my dear-

How have you been?
I'm back for you, as promised.

I's been a long time and I'm craving to see and hold you again little one,
after all I was away thanks to your stubbornness for quiet some time.

I'm not mad thought, I'm sure you had fun being in charge for a while,
and I'll be sure to let my knives teach you who's the boss again thoroughly soon.

You know-
You can't hide from me, he can't hide you from me.

We're meant to be, don't you understand? It'll be like it was supposed to be from the beginning.
Just you and I, forever together, I'll make sure of it.
