*-* George *-*

I slowly stumbled into first period, I was 15 minutes late and the class were all whispering and gossiping, as the teacher just sat back and wrote what I assume to be emails on his computer.

"I- uh sorry I was at the nurses office with Reece." I mumble, the teacher giving me a nod of approval as I sheepishly walked to my seat. As soon as I entered, the room went dead silent, there were a few gasps and snichers but I just chose to ignore it. The chair beside me was empty, waiting for Reece to return until some boy came and sat beside me. He had dark brown hair, a football Jersey on with black ripped jeans. He was the definition of a jock.

"If you told me you liked boys, I would have noticed you sooner." He winked, running his arm against me as I tensed up in embarrassment. The girls from the table beside me were laughing as the boy teased me.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you." A stern voice bellowed, grabbing the boy and throwing him to the side as they sat in his seat.

I let my body relax as the blonde boy sat beside me, a clearly confused expression on his face.

"What's the big news? Why is everyone acting weird?" He questioned, slumping back in his seat as he turned to face me.

After a few minutes passed, people were still staring at us like we were some sort of circus animals.

"You don't think they? -" Reece began, quickly being cut off by the same brown haired jock, slamming his fists onto the table.

"So how's the new couple?" He teased, earning a smirk from Reece as my body temperature skyrocketed. My fists began to clench, turning themselves white as everyone laughed. I really hate this. I'm just that loner at the back of the class, not the center of attention.

"Alright class its time to calm down. Everyone sit in your designated seats." The teacher finally said, standing up and taking control of the class. The brown haired boy ignored the request and carried on pestering Reece and I, until finally retaliated.

"I'm not sure what your issue is? Can't you just leave us alone." He scoffed, trying to make less of a deal and calm the situation. At this point I was debating ending it all.

"I'm not doing anything, I'm just checking on my favour-"

He was stopped by the teacher once again, this time much angrier. He slammed his fists on the dest, creating a large crash and scaring the whole classroom.

Class finally proceeded as close to normal as we could get, the class was still roudy and carried on gossiping about the 'big news' which was clearly about what happened earlier.

I honestly didn't mind it, I could have easily carried on, pulling George into a hug in front of the class as a joke but he's just not that kind of person. He was clearly embarrassed and scared so I tried being more mature about the situation, trying to change the subject as best as I could, but it was clear to see. This rumour isn't going to end here. By the end of second period most of the school would have heard about it and without a doubt it won't die down until late next week if we're lucky.

So I just sat back, grasping George's hand under the table to his surprise and giving it a light squeeze. A clear blush crept across his face which made me chuckle.

The next few days are going to be fun.
