You awoke to the faint chirping of early morning birds. Your eyes flickered open to light, deep blue room. Squinting, you raised yourself up on one arm and rubbed your eyes. A rough texture startling your senses as your arm lowered and brushed against your body.
"Huh?"
You lifted the towel and stared at the golden hotel logo embroidered onto it, looking at Jotaro for a moment before folding it and placing it on the opposite end of the couch. You stretched your arms above your head and crossed them, leaning to each of your sides once each, feeling a slight tight pull before standing up and moving to the bathroom. A shock of cold shivered up your spine as you stepped onto the bathroom tiles and picked up your uniform for the day.
Shutting the door, you lifted your shirt and folded it perfectly on the counter. Same with your pants. You stared for a moment at yourself in the mirror, fingers running over the smooth bumps of your label just above your waist, near the front of your body. SCP-1990-SU
A reminder that you were there as a temporary assistant and as soon as this was all over you had to go back to the dark and dim laboratories.
You sighed and placed a hand on the counter to search for your bra only to remember that you never brought it in. You quickly redressed and left the shattering brightness of the bathroom and looked around in the cold room, spotting your suitcase. Jotaro slowly around in the hotel bed. You made sure your footsteps were as quiet as possible as you made your way over to the side of the couch, kneeling down, and slowly unzipping the case.It took a couple of minutes, but eventually, you opened it and took out your chest undergarment. Hiding it the best you can, you silently strode back to the bathroom. You shut the door behind you once again and changed into your almost white/beige uniform. Throwing on a light cardigan that covered up to your elbows.
You finished your morning routine and tied your hair back into one of your three authorized hairstyles, a few stray chunks falling to the sides of your face, but you didn't really care as you opened the door and ran into a soft t-shirt with a quiet 'oof'.
You glanced upward and looked down at the floor instinctively.
"Apologies if I took too long Mr. Jotaro. Good morning."
He responded with an annoyed grunt and half pushed, half moved around you. You dunked under him, trying to make yourself as small as possible at the moment as you slinked your way around him.You waited on the couch and turned on the electric kettle. About a liter of water sloshed around when you shook it a little. You prepared a tea bag and in several minutes the kettle had steam pouring out of the sides of the lid, immediately the switch flipped off.
Taking the kettle, you carefully poured out the contents and watched the teabag get soaked and the color of it change into a dark brown in the vaguely dark blue light of the early dawn.
"I have steeped some tea for you sir.", you said when you heard the bathroom door open, "I will go and make sure I have my items for the day."
He gave a short 'hm' as a thank you as you approached your bag and knelt down to unlatch it, searching its contents and making sure everywhere is where it should be. Your fingers slid across the camera tucked away into the side."Mr. Jotaro? Do you want your camera back? I still have it in my bag."
You looked back at him and saw him staring at the blank wall. He put his cup down for a second.
"No, keep it. I don't have anywhere to put it and you're gonna need to use it."
He stood with circles under his eyes and took a couple more sips. Staring at the wall into nothingness, either lost in thought or just wanting to escape.
