The Great Gatsby (Rose's Side of the Story)

Chapter 1

I sit in a chair in Gatsby and Daisy's house as Jay (my best friend in the world) comes in the living room, he says "Hey Nick, I didn't know you were coming over today, my wife and I were getting everything situated." I said "Jay, it's okay, you married Daisy, What about Tom?" Jay said "he didn't love her enough so after I came back from the war Daisy was waiting for me and then we got married."

Daisy came in the living room, she said "Jay, honey I need to talk to you in privite, hey Nick." I waived to Daisy as she pulled Jay's arm into the kitchen. I got up from my chair and walked around the living room Jay and Daisy came into the living room I sat back down in the chair that I was sitting in when I went to visit them. Jay said to me "Nick, my best friend in the world, Daisy and I have some news to tell you, now it is a good thing you are sitting down, because Daisy is expecting our first child and we don't know what we are having yet." I wanted to say congrats to them but all I did was clap.

Daisy and Jay sat down on the couch and I was sitting in the chair next to the chair and I said to Daisy and Jay "You know you should invite Jordan over to dinner tonight and tell her the news about the baby." Jay looked over at Daisy and then looked over at me and Jay said "you know that is a wonderful idea Nick."
