This chapter is dedicated to @english_blossom for supporting me. I know it was a while ago that you gave me support when you read up to my THE PARTY chapter, but I appreciate it a lot. So this chapter is dedicated to you.

I got done with my errands and drove the short way to the grill, I was probably going to apply for the waitress job there after my date with Jer and my dinner with Mikayla. I turned on the radio to the news, something about an animal attack.

"Yesterday at around eleven pm a woman by the name of Sheryl Streakman was brought into the morgue by a distressed Morgan Tayl, her boyfriend. It is said that Sheryl was at a party when her body was found in the woods, mauled and almost completely drained of blood." The newscaster reported before Crystal turned the radio off again.

Drained of blood. Drained of blood. Drained of blood. Kept running through my mind as I made my way over to the grill. Was I so sure that Olesya was right and that all my sister was saying was a lie? No. This new information was sure to go into the Vampire Myth/Folklore file.

One part of my mind thought that I should ask Jer or Elena or someone about it, but most of my mind told me to keep my mouth shut, and I smartly chose that side. I continued to drive down to the grill when I noticed a hobo on the corner and pulled over to talk to the disheveled man. I got out of my Mini Cooper and walked over to him.

"Hi. My name is Crystal, what's your name?" I asked, holding out my hand for him to shake.

"My name is Taylor, I don't recognize you. Are you new around here?" He asked and shook my hand, holding it a little longer than I would have liked.

"Yeah, I just moved in a couple of days ago." I told him, putting my hands in my jean pockets.

"That's nice. But it's not exactly the best place to move." He stated a little menacingly, actually he kinda sounded like Damon when he said that.

"So I've heard." I said bluntly, leaning against the stop sign.

"Well, did you wanna get a drink? I'm really thirsty." Taylor said strangely, he sounded a little like a hungry animal waiting to pounce.

"Umm, no thanks. But thanks for the offer." I said, backing up to get back in my car.

"Well I wasn't asking if you wanted a drink. I was asking if you wanted to be the drink." With that he moved with impossible speed to me and grabbed my arm, pulled it up to his mouth and bit very harshly onto my tanned wrist.

"Aaaaaaaaah!" I screamed shrilly and ripped my arm out of his hold and ran around to the drivers side and sped off as fast as I could to Jer and the safety of the grill and the people inside. I quickly parked my car and rushed inside, holding a hand over my wrist and running over to Jeremy.

"What happened?!" He said, worriedly and got to his feet before rushing over.

"Some homeless guy named Taylor just bit me. Come help me clean it!" I quietly yelled at him and ran into the girls bathroom with Jer hot on my heels. Luckily there was no one in there.

"What do you mean he bit you?" He sounded exasperated as he helped me clean of the fast drying and new pouring blood.

"I mean I held my hand out to shake and he grabbed it and told me his name was Taylor and asked, very animalisticely I might add, if I wanted a drink and then said that I was the drink and bit my wrist." I said in one very long breath and gulped another in, drying my bite wound. Jer had a knowing look on his face as he rubbed his hand down it. I figured it wouldn't hurt to add this encounter to the file too.

"I'm so sorry that you got hurt, Crystal." He visually sighed and shook his head, grasping my hands. ''You never should have moved here, there's bad things here." He told me. "Things out of even your beautiful hands." Jer said, turning my hands over. I blushed slightly, and winced as my wrist bent.
