I got home very quickly since I was trying to get away from the crippled Damon. As I walked in the door,I was still shaken and very confused on what was inside the mystery bottle. I walked over to my bedroom door and walked inside after making sure that Olesya was asleep.

I pulled the tiny bottle out of my pocket and unscrewed the top to see what was inside. I looked inside to see a mostly clear substance, unlike the Orangish color of pepper spray. I leaned over the bottle slightly and sniffed the contents, it smelled like some kind of herb.

Wait, I've smelled that before! It was what I smelt off of Elena earlier , it had to be. And I could have sworn that I smelt it on my sister when she was here earlier. I had to find out what it was.

I finally decided to call my sister, after all she was the one who have me the bottle, and I smelt the herb on her earlier. It was already 4:34, but if she wasn't already up, she get up. I was soon listening to the boring ringing on the other end of the phone. Usually I would have just sat on my bed and wait for her to pick up, but I wasn't exactly patient right now. Instead, I was pacing around the house, trying not to wake up Olesya with my silent ranting.

"Pick up the phone, pick up the phone." I would constantly say while pacing. It seemed like forever until she answered.

"Hello?" Mikayla asked, quite groggily and sounding like she just woke up.

"What's in the bottle?" I asked back, meaning business. I wasn't playing around now. But that question sure woke her up.

"What do you mean?" She asked, very surprised but also sounding like she was hiding something.

"You know what I mean." She stayed quiet. "The squirt bottle that you gave me earlier. What herb is in it?!" I asked, a little angry now that she thought that I was some kind of fool.

"Umm..." She seemed to think through her words before talking. "It's just a mixture of things that will render some people useless." She said smoothly, I might have believed her if I hadn't heard the slight fear in her voice, or the small quiver.

"Do you think I'm stupid?" I asked, now very mad.

"No." She seemed to think before she told me the truth. Mikayla sighed. "It's an herb called vervain, it's kinda rare to find now, but very useful in protection from some people. I hope that it helps you." She seemed to think, I said something before she did.

"Thank you...sis." I hadn't called her sis or Kk since I was 14, when we started fighting too, along with our parents. A year later she moved after she turned 18, just like me, we both wanted out of that house.

She seemed at a loss for words, but I could practically see and feel her smile and tears of joy from the other side of the phone. She could be hard, but really all she wanted was to have someone love her again, and we used to be like two peas in a pod.

"You haven't called me that in a long time." She lightly sniffed and laughed slightly. "Did you have fun today at the party?" Out of the things that she could have said, that wasn't it. I was shocked, I could feel the tears brim in my eyes as my vision went cloudy, I brushed them away.

"Yeah, I have some new friends and I even have a boyfriend now, who is really sweet." We used to talk about everything before we started fighting, I don't even know why we started fighting. Before she asked a question, I asked one of my own.

"..Kk, why did we start fighting in the first place?" I asked. She thought for a minute.

"I don't know, I think it was because we missed mom and it just got to us when we started to get older. That might be why dad started fighting with Emily too, cus he missed mom." She said, I couldn't stop the tears from coming now.

Carmen was our biological mother, when I was about 6 she died from falling into some rocks and almost all of her blood was drained, at least that's what they told us. Not many people knew about that, and I didn't ever talk about it, it's just one of those things that you can't talk about.

"I guess so." I agreed with Kk, trying not to cry. "Can we just not anymore?" I asked. "I wanna be how we were before. We used to be so close, I want to be sisters again." I said, practically pleading.

"Yeah, that would be nice. I miss you too." She said, sounding calmer. I wiped the tears still on my face and took a deep breath.

"It was really nice talking to you, but we should both probably go to bed." I said yawning. I checked the time, it was really late, early. Whatever.

"Yeah, we should." She said yawning too. "It was really nice talking to you. Do you wanna meet at the grill later?" She asked.

"Sure. Say 5:00?" I asked, I remembered that I was meeting Jer at 2:00. I decided to give us a few hours, just in case.

"Perfect. We could catch up over coffee or dinner." She said, Mikayla sounded super exited, but she was trying to hide it.

"Ok. I'm gonna go to bed, night." I told her

"Night." She replied before I hit the 'end' button and lied down to sleep.
