Wow I haven't updated this book in like 3 years. I also deleted watt pad but with this whole corona virus pandemic I've had extra time on my hands so I decided to update. Enjoy

Drew jumped onto the couch next to me and wrapped his arm reassuringly around my shoulder.

"I, for one, think you did an amazing job. Better than a lot of people I know." He said, looking at Wes pointedly.

I looked up at Wes to see what he had to say but his gaze was fixed on Drew's arm, specifically where his hand was touching my bare arm. His eyebrows were turned down in an angry look and was very confused. Drew's hand was very warm... was that what Wes was looking at? Wait no he couldn't feel it.

"Yes because like I said before, I don't play the violin. I have other more entertaining and important things to waste time on. Let's go Amelia we are going to be late for our appointment." Wes grabbed my hand and yanked me quickly upwards into his embrace. My violin fell from my hold onto the edge of the couch and almost fell over.

"Wes be more careful! My violin could have fallen on the ground!" I said worming out of his hold to grab my violin before it fell off the couch. Before I got to it Drew grabbed it and put it back in its case.

"Just go Amelia I'll put it back. I don't want you guys to be late!" Drew said while zipping up my case

"He said he's got it so let's go." Wes said sternly while once again pulling me into his hold.

I looked back at Drew and he smiled and gave me a thumbs up.

"Ok bye Drew, see you tonight." I said confused, what was up with Wes? He seemed grumpier than usual today.

Wes and I walked into the garage, his arm still wrapped around my waist. He grabbed the car keys off their hook and guided me to the passenger door, which he held open for me.

I stared at him shocked. Ok, something was definitely up with him. First he was grumpy while I was playing the violin, and now he was holding doors open for me? I stared at him wide eyed, how could someone be that moody? Wes cleared his throat,

"What are you waiting for, we're going to be late. Get in." He said.

I muttered a quick apology and hopped in, and he went around and got into the drivers seat. We pulled out and drove for 25 minutes. It was dead silent the whole ride, but I didn't know how to break the silence, so I just played games on my phone.

When Wes finally parked, I looked outside and saw that the area we were in looked unfamiliar, but VERY upscale.

"Where are we?" I asked Wes.

"Just follow me." He said. I stepped out of the car and Followed behind Wes as he walked down the street. Noticing that I was behind him, Wes stopped abruptly and waited for me to catch up before grabbing my hand.

"Keep up." He said in a low annoyed voice.

We walked for a bit before Wes finally turned into a store. I looked up and noticed, it was a jewelers store. Huh?

"Wes, I thought you said we were going to go get a record deal today? You don't understand how much I need this right now. I didn't come here to go expensive jewelry shopping with you, I came here for a reason! I should have known that you wouldn't hold up your half of the deal!!" I said confused and anxious. I was on a time limit! 3 weeks out of my two months had been spent up. I had to tell my mom that I was dating- possibly engaged to someone before it was too late, and before she payed next months rent. Or even worse, got a call from my apartment complex telling her I had moved out! I also had to show her that I was advancing somewhat in my musical career before she questioned everything and booked me a one way ticket on the soonest flight home.
