Selene forced her self to wake as she heard foot steps. Blinking A few times, she tried to adjust her sight to the darkness.

"We have guests" Zorc purred out entertained as she stared ahead at the enterance.

Selene sat up and stared in the direction that Zorc had been watching. Her heart beat quickened as fear and worry filled her. *who ever it is...they are about to walk right into a trap!* she thought sadly.

"How many more must loose their soul before they decide to give up hmm?" Zorc questions.

Selene looked away as depression washed over her. Many more people were going to lose their souls trying to get through  the shadows.

Selene sighed sadly as she curled up.

Zorc turned and looked at her with a thoughtful look. "Hungry?" She questions hearing a growl coming from Selene. "Cant have that brat dying on me." She added as a shadow creature brought some fruit over and set it down.

Selene looked over to the fruit and then looked away again. She could not deny her hunger, but she did not want to give Zorc the satisfaction of seeing her give in either.

With her back turned towards Zorc, Selene let some tears fall from her eyes. This was not how she has expected her Christmas break to turn out. She had wanted to go home and spend it with Walker and tiffany, but she had gotten stuck here at the castle because she was too scared to face her family alone.

"Ignoring me will do nothing to improve your current situation." Zorc spoke as she watched her.

Selene tried her hardest to block out Zorc. And instead thought about Walker and Tiffany.

What could she tell them? She got pregnant during a one night stand? She would never hear the end of it. Especially from Tiffany. Tiffany she could handle thought. She would just yell.

It was Walker that she feared the reaction of the most. He would be so disappointed. Of course he would be supportive...but the disappointment.  Selene would rather take the yelling over the disappointed silence.

"Ahh, I see. You are thinking about those pathetic mortals" Zorc said with a snicker. "I could bring them here" she suggested as she watched Selene for any type of reaction. "And make you watch as I strip them of their souls and use them to help me destroy the pharaoh" zorc added with demonic laugh.

Selene brought her hands up to her ears and held them shut as she fought the tears that threatened to fall from Zorc's words. That's the last thing that she wanted! But none of that would matter if she didn't find away to get out of her imprisonment. The silence of the shadows was eerie and frightening.

She could just imagine this being how it would feel. It was as though she was already receiving that sound of disappointed silence from Walker.

Was this how Bella felt...all those years ago when she had snapped and run away?

Selene could only sit there and guess as her mind raced with millions of questions and scenarios.

Once again the silence was beginning to put her to sleep, so she laid back down. But the haunting laugh kept her from falling asleep.

Selene wondered what on earth could have created such or horrible being such as Zorc.

She just could not imagine something...someone having so much darkness in them. What could turn a being so evil?

"Selene?"

Selene looked up in surprise hearing a familiar voice.

"Marie?" She said sounding hopeful as she heard her sisters voice from the darkness.

"Hold on Selene. We will get you out soon" Marie's voice whispered into her ears.

"Where are you?" Selene whispered.

"I'm here" the voice came from her left. Selene looked over into the direction that she had heard the voice.

"No...over here" it came from the right. Confusion swept over Selene as she looked to the right.

A demonic like laughter rang through the hallway.

"How cute. Do you really think someone is going to come save you? Marie is weak! Nothing can stop me" Zorc said said laughing.

Selene glared at Zorc coldly. Of course! It had only been Zorc playing her mind tricks again. Selene flinched. For a moment, she had really believed it.

Selene bitterly laid back down trying to block out Zorc.
