8th episode reimagined

•this starts where Tsukasa found them•
"Mitsubaaaa!" An unfamiliar voice called from behind Mitsuba and Kou.
"Leaving me so soon? Where are you running off to?"
Mitsuba and Kou turned around, Mitsuba knew it was Tsukasa, but Kou was confused.
"Hanako senpai? N-no... it isn't-"
"Looks like you've made a friend!" Tsukasa giggled while saying this, right before lunging towards Mitsuba.

He had no time to react before he had fallen to the floor confused. Mitsuba looked up to see Tsukasa's hand straight through Kou's chest, blood splattered everywhere.
"Oops, collateral damage" Tsukasa giggles again, but this time it seemed much more sinister because he was covered in blood.
Another ghost appeared, he looked just like Tsukasa, but was wearing different clothes and the sticker-thing on his face was white, it was Hanako. He entered, having followed Tsukasa. Hanako's face went from calm to horrified to furious as he saw the scene in front of him.
Hanako pulled out his knife and without a word, swiftly began attacking Tsukasa.
"Amane!!! Oh my, have you come to pay me a visit? I was just reclaiming my client when this boy happened to-"
Hanako nearly stabbed Tsukasa right in his stupid head when Tsukasa dodged him expertly.
"Oh, you aren't upset are you? He got in the way!"
Tsukasa dodges another few attacks before getting bashed kn his shoulder. Hanako was being understandably ruthless, so Tsukasa decided to back off for now. Tsukasa disappeared, but said one last thing before doing so.
"Until next time, brother"
Hanako dropped to the floor next to Kou. Mitsuba already had Kou in his arms, he was sobbing. Hanako looked at his lifeless boyfriend, crying as well. Hanako held Kou's cold hand. The two ghosts cling to their loved one, in complete silence. The only sounds were their occasional gasps and sobs. Nene suddenly walked in on the scene. She had been looking for Hanako, after he had randomly disappeared. She saw blood splattered everywhere and Hanako and another boy next to a blonde haired boy's corpse. She saw Hanako's crying and instantly understood that Kou was dead. She dropped to her knees next to him as well and they all stayed there crying. Hanako and Nene decided to stay in the girl's bathroom together that night, needing to be comforted by each other, since they had both lost their boyfriend. Nene texted her parents and told them she was staying at a friend's house. Mitsuba for the first time since he was bullied in Elementary school, wanted to be alone. He drifted about school, painful memories filling his thoughts. He realized he cared for Kou as more than a friend, even though they had just truly met, Kou was the only person to have ever wanted to be Mitsuba's friend even after knowing his true personality. Mitsuba stares at the picture he had taken of Kou for hours on end, unable to sleep. The thought of Kou's last action being to sacrifice himself for Mitsuba was going to haunt him for the rest of his life after death.
The school was closed for weeks as the investigation for Kou's mysterious death were underway. There were no fingerprints on Kou's body besides from Nene's, but some people knew they were dating and didn't find it suspicious, neither did investigators and nothing could link Nene to the scene of the crime. She hadn't touched the blood. The cause of death was "natural causes", but the Minamoto family, seeing as they were a long line of exorcists, knew their dear Kou's death was not natural at all, it was supernatural.
