Chapter 1

Chapter 1 

I looked at the huge castle towering in front of me, it was actually a school I would be attending for the next 3 years ,'Alfea school for magical beings'. It was beautiful with ivy growing on the walls, the turrets with the school flag and colors proudly swaying in the wind. The cravings on the green art wood door were one of a kind. Suddenly the door opened and out came Principle Faragonda. 

"Princess Natalia Jean Maria de Lorenzo, it's been long, hasn't it? But any way, welcome to Alfea" she said. 

"Miss Faragonda, its Natalia de Lorenzo please and yes it has been long. I am looking forward to this. So am I going to start classes today or next week ?" 

"Semester starts next week and you will join the other students then. Now I hear you will be getting a plot of land nearby soon, would you like me to assign you a dorm, or would you like to built a house nearby?" she enquired. Even though having a house to myself was fun, I would be lonely and I already had more than enough houses. 

"A dorm would do please, and I might use the plot to make a warehouse, um...can I please have my book list and my schedule so that I can organize time easily?" I requested. 

"Here you go..." she replied, with a swift movement of her hands, a stack of papers magically appeared in front of me. I took it from her hands. "Is this all the luggage you have?" she asked, looking at my knapsack and two American touristers. "Um...well I am due to some more in a few days time but until then I have enough clothes and accessories." I told her sheepishly. "Ok, well let me show you around and uh shall we send your bags to the dorm?" she asked and I nodded. With another swift movement of her hands, she made the bags disappear. 

In the next hour, I became familiar with the school library, gymnasium, swimming pool, martial art classes, and many other activity areas. She then took me to my dorm, it was on the top floor, it was luxuriously designed with a velvet couch, soft carpet, silky curtains and a king size bed. It was very spacious. I walked towards my window. The view outside was breath taking. I turned around and asked Miss Faragonda whether anyone else will be joining me. "Natalia, this room is always given to a member of the royal family as only she can enter it, but I being the Principle of this school have the permission to enter. My powers are useless here unless I have your permission whereas, your powers are magnified on these grounds, I hope you can handle this, so this room is for you alone." She answered and left me alone to unpack my luggage, which was sitting in the corner of my room. With a swift movement of my hands I distributed all my belongings to its respectful places. 

I stepped out on my balcony, it had a border of plants, the bees and butterflies were hovering over the attractive flowers which were fully in bloom. The breeze was warm against my skin, ruffling my hair. I still couldn't believe I was at Alfea after all that I had been through; it was a miracle Miss Faragonda had accepted me. As I stood there I couldn't help thinking about my home planet and how I was banished from my own kingdom. It had changed my life. I soon put all those memories in a small corner of my brain, I didn't want to ruin my future by thinking about my past, after all I had come here to start a new life. 

I went back in my room and had a long hot bath. I came out, and stood in front of my mirror. The girl in the mirror stared back, she had long, pale waist length hair, her limbs were long and slender. She was fair skinned and had eyes that changed colour according to her moods. Due to her calm mood, her eyes were a warm shade of grey highlighting her perfectly arched eyebrows. I suddenly felt very tired. I changed into my sweats and a loose, comfortable t-shirt and went towards my very inviting bed. As soon as I rested my head on the pillow, I fell into a long and peaceful slumber.

Five days had passed; I was accustomed to everything that happened. At sharp 5 'o' clock my alarm rang, cursing it, I grudgingly got up, changed, and went to the gymnasium, played basketball, worked out and ran a few laps. Then I returned to my room, had a cold water bath, and went down to eat breakfast. After that I read my course books, went for a ride on my Pegasus, Black Jack , and played badminton, and swam a lot, allowing myself to have occasional breaks in between.
