Chapter 3

As I stared at Fawkes, Alice said," finally you see, your family does remember you!" I laughed a humorless laugh, "Yah, right, they remember my birthday!" I said sarcastically. My friends were surprised by my attitude but I could not help it. When it came to my family, I was an outsider. I untied the letter and read it aloud: 

'Your land has been cleared'

"You were saying Alice," I asked. 

"Natalia what are you hiding from us? Whenever we try to speak to you about your family, you clamp up and do not tell us anything. You do not read the papers anymore, hardly watch the news when your family's name is on it. What's going on?" Helia asked me, I went to my wardrobe and brought out the newspaper clipping and gave it to Emmet to read aloud: 

Queen banished from home for a centaury. 

The Elder's sentenced Queen Natalia Jean Maria de Lorenzo to a banishment period of a centaury Council says source... 

They stared at me in identical expressions on their faces: shocked expressions. I made my way to the couch and sat there, letting my tears run on uncontrollably. Flora got over the shock and soon joined me on the couch, hugged me tightly and whispered, "Never forget we are all ways there for you. No matter what! Do you understand?" 

I numbly nodded and fell asleep in her arms..... 

2 years and 11months later: 

Exams over, we were waiting for our results, but right now we were watching 'A Walk to Remember' and brawling our eyes out .We were hoping to graduate with high honors, in the past 2 years, we had all grown very close to each other, we knew every little thing about each other, we could complete each other's sentences. We fought, cried, insulted, teased and played havoc, but at the end of the day, we were best friends, and that's all that mattered. 

While watching the movie, we heard a flutter outside the window, and saw a familiar reddish orange feather swooping through the window and landing on my shoulder. Fawkes was back again, with a letter, this time it looked official. After that night, we had not seen Fawkes until present. Jake read the letter out loud 

Miss Natalia Jean De Lorenzo:  

Her Royal Highness, Queen Natasha would like to meet you ASAP

"I 'm not going!" I exclaimed 

"Yes you are, and we are coming with you, I haven't met my mom and dad in ages, so we can meet them, you can have your meeting and they can sight see. "Alice said with a look that said that we are not going to ruin her plans no matter what!  

The next day we found ourselves on my private jet, taking a 10 hour flight to Leger Domain, with the rest of the gang. 

It had been almost three years since I left this land. As soon as the door slid open, I couldn't believe what I was seeing. It was like I had landed in a completely different place. The once beautiful planet was now covered with soot. Everything was black. There were no leaves in the trees, there was hardly any moisture in the air. The people who had come to welcome me had worn old ragged clothes, I could feel the blistering heat on my face. The ground was torn apart. It was more like the planet was dead and the citizens living in shanties. They looked incredibly weak. I looked at my friends, they had similar expressions on their faces-Shocked. This was not my planet. Leger Domain, where your powers are magnified, doubled the times, scenery so breath taking that you sometimes forget to breathe. This was a barren land, once filled with active people and magical creatures, trees aligned the road, the breeze smelt of cinnamon, chocolate, roses, jasmines. The buildings were made of marble and were spotless. It was a fairy tale land, The music was in a full blast. We were served with all kinds of foods. We ate, sang, watched movies and had all kind of fun, but still there was tension in the air and we were not doing a good job in hiding it. Those ten hours seemed like 10 years. My heart was beating rapidly as the jet landed on the tarred driveway of the planet Leger Domain. I could sense something different in the air. I could sense the change. It had but now as I rode in the limo back to the royal palace, I only saw empty roads, once a busy highway, silent and empty. As we reached the castle gates, I was shocked to see it was closed! It usually was always kept open. The driver went and punched some numbers on the number pad and the door to the castle opened. Flora, being a fairy of nature, was feeling very down since the time we landed, there was no nature left. As we entered, my favorite set of staff was here to meet me. Hayata and Smith the butler, Irona, Maria, Sophia and Ellen my chamber maids. They had changed, they looked worn out. I had always made sure I treated all equally. I looked at them in shock. "Princess, how good to see you." They greeted me politely. "These must be your friends." Maria said indicating the gang that tagged along with me. 

"Yah, guys meet Flora, Helia, Ayamo, Kazuma, Jake and Jasmine. You'll already know Emmet, Jasper and Alice." 

"Yes, welcome to 'the de' Lorenzo mansion.'" They welcomed my friends.  

I was enraged; I told my maids and butlers to take them to their rooms while I had a chat with my daddy dearest. I found him where I thought I would, the council room. There was a meeting going on in. The guard stopped me, but quickly retired at the glare. I barged in and the council grew silent." You, how could you! This planet is dying and you are sitting here with this useless Piece of flesh called the Queen next to you. Do you not care about what's happening in this planet at all? How could you just sit here doing nothing?" 

Dr Carlise Cullen kept a hand on my shoulder and said, "We're sorry to disturbed this meeting, Please If your majesty would meet Princess Natalia in her personal chamber after the meeting is over?" with that he dragged me out of the room.
