Epilouge

A week had passed since that conversation with my dad. I still felt uneasy about it. We were graduating today. I soon got up, had a bath and got dressed. I wore my graduation coat and hat and made my way down the hall. Looking around at the scenery outside brought back memories of my planet, about how much it needed me. I fought back tears and went to join my friends. The graduation ceremony began. Our names were called out, we ran to the stage and took our graduation certificates. Everything was perfect. Once all the certificates were handed out, Miss Faragonda cleared her throat, signaling us to be quiet. "We have a special guest today. She has made a special request and asked permission if she could say I few words today. We are much honored to have her here. I would like to call Princess Natasha Jean Maria De Lorenzo." The hall burst into a loud round of applause, except for the ten of us. I was staring at her wide-eyed as she made her way to the podium. 

I couldn't believe this was happening. I had no idea that she had the guts to come to my graduation ceremony to humiliate me. Why me of all people! I thought. But when she spoke, it was more like the world had changed its course. "I'm sorry." She said, her eyes locked with mine. I noticed, for the first time in my life, that she was crying. I knew she was not lying about this. "I'm really sorry Natalia. I didn't mean to hurt you, I'm truly sorry. Please forgive me and come back, we need you." 

Slowly I walked towards the podium. All eyes turned towards me. They probably had no idea about what was going on. I made my way towards the stage and asked the one question I had been longing to ask. "Why?" 

"I was jealous of you!" She cried " You were good at everything. No one used to notice me. Everyone used to talk about you and your qualities. I was angry. I had no choice." She admitted, Tears running down her cheeks. "Please come back. I'm sorry." My heart went out for her, I made my decision. 

"Yes, I will" I said. "And I forgive you." She looked up, I could swear that the sun had given all its glow to her. She ran towards me and threw her arm around me. 

"Thank you" she said. I could hear my friends cheering for me. I turned towards them and gave them a thumbs up. "You are the best twin a person can get." She said and added "Well of course after me." I burst out laughing. I felt a heavy weight lifted off my stomach. After all everything was back to normal.

Nw movinon, i am gonna make a novel of dis short story and turning it more interseting, a bit of romance, dash of jealousy and a tablespoon of drama!!!!!!!!!!!
