Tyler's home was a few houses down from Lorena's; the walk not very far. The moon was out, and the weather was cool. His heart was still pounding. He's not sure where that surge of confidence came from; the fact he kissed Lorena. He was always shy when it came confronting her or being affirmative with his feelings. It made him happy that she returned the kiss. ''She must feel the same way.'' He thought.
Reaching home and greeting his father, he told him of the great news of Lorena. His father was happy and told him to give her his condolences. Heading to his bedroom, he sat his bag down and threw himself on the bed. His phone began to ring; digging into his bag and pulling it out. It turned out an unknown number phoned him more than twenty times, calling again. He was skeptical to answer but did anyway. ''Hello?'' There was shuffling on the other line, making it hard for Tyler to hear the other recipient. ''Hello?'' he repeated once more. ''Hello? Are you alright? Can you hear me?''
There was still no answer. As he was about to hang up, a voice spoke. ''Don't think I don't know who you and father are. You know it's a shame I didn't do anything to him; since you never answered,'' Tyler was so confused. Before he could respond, he was cut off. ''Hm, maybe shooting her in the stomach wasn't a good idea. The head would have been better. Yes, I will do that. Definitely.''
''Hello!? Who the hell is this!?'' The phone call was cut off, and Tyler was fuming. 'This has to be some prank call. Who would make a call like this? Sick people...' With this assumption, Tyler removed his clothes, staying in his underwear, and settled into bed. He contemplated on what the whole phone call was about. Was it a prank? Was it real? Will tomorrow be okay? He asked himself these questions.
''She won't get hurt. I will make sure of that.''
