Lorena's mother was surprised and shocked to see Tyler inside her home. Her eyebrows furrowed together, and she tapped her foot. ''Excuse me, Tyler what on earth are you doing here? And at one o'clock in the morning? Tell me.'' She scolded. She was exhausted from work. She was ready to push him out her house until he spoke up. ''I'm sorry. I really didn't intend to barge in at this time,'' The kitchen light was turned on illuminating the dimly lit home. ''I received a call from Lorena. She was calling for help and sounded like she couldn't breathe. I rushed over and saw her on the floor unconscious. She was quite ill, so I helped treat her. I promise I did not touch her inappropriately. I meant to call you, but I forgot.''

Although Tyler told her mother what happened, she still rushed upstairs to check on her daughter. Seeing the bathroom light still on and the products all over the counter, and Lorena sleeping peacefully in her bed, she felt relieved. She took notice of the cloth in a bowl, some cold medicine on her night stand as well.

Going back down the stairs where Tyler still was, she engulfed him into a hug. ''Thank you so much Tyler.'' As she pulled away from the hug, she could see his red and tired eyes, his shirt a little damp, and his hair a mess. ''Something worst could have happened. Thank you again. If this ever happens again, please call me first.''

''So, where were you?'' is the first thing Tyler hears upon entering his home. He froze in his spot and held his breath. He was sure to get a scold and maybe a hit on the head. ''I was at Lorena's house.'' he admitted. His father stood with his arms crossed at the beginning of the stairs in his pajamas. His father furrowed his eyebrows and exhaled. To be quite honest, he was getting bothered with how much Tyler was with Lorena; that being the only thing he'd talk about. ''What the hell were you doing there?'' When there was no reply, his father could only assume one thing: ''Were you sleeping with her!?'' Tyler jumped and immediately denied the accusation. ''NO!'' he exclaimed by waving his hands. ''I wasn't, I swear! She called me, and it sounded urgent. When I went over there she was alone and was unconscious on the ground. I had to help her.''

Tyler was stressed and exhausted. Lorena was of no trouble for him, but rather how much his father nags at him for being with her. He admits he maybe spends too much time with her. But it is so he can keep her company and see how she is doing. ''I understand you deeply care about her, but don't make all your time spent on her alone!'' Being sent back to bed, Tyler exhaled long sighs as he rubbed his tired face. He really couldn't deny his fathers' statement. It was true.

The thought stressed him more. Throwing himself back onto his bed, sleep him.

''Tyler really did that?'' Kathy questioned; her eyes bulged, and she hit Lorena's thigh with excitement. For the many years of the three friends, she always secretly wanted Tyler and Lorena to date. They had so much in common and it was -at times- clear they showed interest. ''Tell me what else happened!'' Kathy could see the excitement and happiness shining in Lorena's eyes. Kathy apologized for not coming to visit, due to school and having to go on an important trip to see a family member. It saddened her to know her dear friend was suffering so much mentally. She couldn't stop replaying the scene of seeing Lorena getting shot and falling towards the ground.

It is enough to see her friend here. Alive, breathing, moving, and talking. She is grateful for that. If Lorena needed anything at all; she'd be by her side helping her.

They would take much better precaution. No, they will.
