Mia - Hey 👋

Alexis - Hi, What's up?

Mia - I think my family are intruders...

Mia - Like I think they are not who they really say they are ... 😶

Alexis - Um ok...

Mia - I'm serious! I feel like there not really my family 😭 I'm scarred

Alexis -😞 What do you mean?

Mia - They look like my family and act like my family - but they are not!

Alexis - Uhuh - I think maybe you need to get some more sleep, maybe?

Mia -  You don't belive me - do you!

Alexis - I'm sorry but no. It sounds like you have this mental condition - I don't remember the name but you could have it, I'm sorry.

Mia - That's not it!

Alexis - I'm just trying to make sense of this! Stop yelling at me.

Mia - You know what forget it - I'll figure it out in my own!

Alexis - Go on then 👍

Mia -👍

6 hours later

Mia - Alexis? I was right they're not who they say they are - I'm terrified😢

Alexis - What do you mean 😒

Mia - I confronted my so called mum and everyone started to look at me with wide buldgy eyes

Alexis - Maybe that's because they think what you asked them was strange...

Mia - No you don't understand, they all started laughing and then leaded me towards the attic and now I need to go, I need to discover my parents ...

Alexis - Um Mia come on your scaring me now...

*Story time (not text -Mia pov)

As I send the last message to Alexis I stare at what I thought to be my attic, however it looked nothing like an attic - like I had walked right through the gates of hell.

Sitting, tied up, was 3 separate rows of my family as well as the imposters who I had been living with standing beside me. The rows/ copies of my family was not only tied to a long firm log but underneath them was a circle trap door that could open vertically from what I could gather

"Hot,burning fire lies under thoes doors" a screechy voice says beside me, the one of my "mother"

"What the hell is this! Who are you and which is my true family" I shout whilst staring at the 3 copies of my family all looking the same

"You must decide - Some are copies/ are the same creatures as what we are - only one is is your true family... choose wrong well let's just say the ones you don't choose will drown in the fire" my fake mother says to me whilst all of them laugh with their twisted faces

All I could think was how this isn't fair - how am I meant to - How?

Walking next to each copy of the family - they all act as if they are struggling and trying to call out my name...

"I don't know which one is really them..."

"You musttt pick" the woman hisses

"OK,ok"

Walking to the third row I stop and say "This, these are them"

As I say the words everyone gets untied and they all laugh

"What - none of you are them - none of you are my true family!! Where are they this isn't fair" I scream

The alien like creatures who are pretending to be my family pull open a curtain and there lies my family - This I was sure off - the fear in thier eyes were real not fake and exaggerated like the rest

"I'm so sorry" I whisper as they get dropped into fire

"That wasn't fair!" I snap screaming at the top of my lungs - terrified by the many imposters that surrounded me

*knock knock*

"All of you dissssapear" is the last thing I hear before passing out from the fear and confusion I felt

When I awake I'm in the back of a van

"Where am I?" I ask

"A friend called us - told us you were hallucinating or something - said you needed medical help" a women in white/blue clothes tells me

"Where am I going?" I ask

"I think you already know - we left your phone with you - you can have it until we get there" they say

I reach into my back pocket and pull out my phone

(Text now)

Mia - You called the insane asylum!

Alexis - I'm sorry - you were acting strange

Mia - strange! Yh sure, at this point I don't even know what to belive

Alexis - Your gonna get the help you need 😔

Mia - No! I know what I saw - I know what happened 😭 why won't you belive me

Alexis - You just said you don't know what to belive any more? Your even contradicting yourself

Mia - Yh, I did in the sense anything could be real - monsters, devils, aliens - they could all be real!

Alexis - I hope you get better

Mia - It all happened, everything.
You know I thought maybe you wouldn't stab me in the back but your all the same - don't belive a word I say - even when proof is given and it will come. Trust!

Alexis - Bye Mia😔

(Back to the story)

"Hand your phone over" the doctor people say as we enter the building

"Here" I say as I walk in reluctantly

At least I'll be safe here from imposters ... I hope.

A day later (in text)

Alexis - Mia! Oh my god, I'm so sorry. I belive you now. My parents haven't been acting like them self's - it's strange but I'm scared to confront them because you were so messed up after you did (I didn't help but) please ...

Not to mention your family disappeared after I sent you away, help me

Alexis - Mia? Come on you must get phone time

Alexis - Mia, please ?

Alexis - I'll message Hannah - it's fine

* and so the cycle repeats...

Was it all true? or was it just childhood imagination or was I actually mentally ill - who knows but the cycle continued on and on - whilst I may have survived not all my friends did Alexis for one did not - Maybe it was all a coincident that mine and all my friends parents disappeared and some of my friends too and that it continues to happen through out the world 'friends of friends' but who will ever know the reason behind any of what I remember so vividly, who knows?
