It has been a couple of days since the surprise of Christmas dinner and the March girls are preparing to go back to their old routine. And everyone was complaining.

"It's so hard to go back to work after such good times" Meg complains

"I wish it was Christmas every day!" Beth exclaims

"Or new years, wouldn't that be something"

 Amy sighed

"We are all a bunch of ungrateful minxes"

Jo puts in a word of her own

"Jo-" Trixie cries half laughing and half insulted

"don't say such despicable things "

"Yeah well I like a word that has strong meanings" Jo exclaims

“Speaking of strong words does anyone have the time?”

Meg quickly looked at her pocket watch before stating the time

"Oh shoot, I have to go early to Aunt March she said she had something for me"

She quickly unwrapped herself from her sisters

"Yes, yes of course" Amy replies bitterly

Trixie gives her a foul look

“Kidding” Amy gives in sheepishly

       --------------

A lot later at school

"No Father is fighting for him" Amy continues the conversation with her school friends

"Everyone benefited from the system including you Marches.. why should only the south be punished"

another one of Amy's classroom friends sighed

"Perhaps we should all be punished" is all that Amy replies

 "Fine just do Mr. Davies"

A girl named Griselda begs Amy

"I don't know if I should" Amy replies looking a little hesitant

'' I'll wipe out your debt and give you five more limes besides" Griselda begs while Amy looks flattered by the offer and begins to draw. Meanwhile, Mr. Davies finished helping the girl when he noticed all the girls crowding around Amy. He made his way over to Amy and when he arrived he caught sight of the sketch.

"Amy March get up here right now!" He yelled getting out his rod for punishment

Amy slowly walked up and held up the palm of her hand.

"Stop! What do you think you are doing?!" Amy could almost sob when she heard the voice of Trixie

"Your sister-" Mr. Davies yelled "drew an insulting picture of me and I deserve respect I tell you"

"I see-" Trixie said, "Is that any reason to harm an innocent child?"

"She is far from innocent" Mr. Davies replied venomously

"Well, let the person who is innocent cast the first stone, isn't that right Mr. Davies?"

"Miss March I will be giving Miss Amy her punishment and there is nothing you can say that will stop me"

Trixie sighs and tells Amy to hold out her hand. With every strike, she flinched until he finished his punishment and told Amy was sobbing in the corner holding her hand to her chest to return to her seat.
