{COMPLETED!} ✔️A Ninjago short story: The Ninjas meet their future selves!✔️

II

A/n: I'm back with part two! My writer's block is starting to fade away, so I have tons more ideas for my stories. I'd like to give a shoutout to @zillyqueen for all of her positive comments. It's really been helping me write my stories. Thanks again, @zillyqueen!

Welp, enough talk! Without further ado, let's hop right into it! :D

Lloyd's POV: (season 10)

Wait... why does my past self look so different? I mean, other than the fact that he looks a few years younger. I don't remember myself ever looking like that! How could this be possible?

"Woah, I look different!" Jay chirps, admiring his past self.

"What changed? Why do I look different than my future self?"

Cole pauses and thinks. "I think it may be because we went back in time to find Wu after we defeated the Hands of Time," Cole concludes, looking at his past self. "I did say that we wouldn't know if anything changed. I guess we do now!"

Past Cole pauses. "Wait, so you're telling me that I go to the future? Ha, I'm cooler than you, Jay!"

Past Jay rolls his eyes. "My future self said I went with you, dirtclod!"

My past self looks at me closely. "My voice changed as well," he notices.

"Yeah, you finally went through puberty!" Past Kai says with a smirk.

"Guys, I hate to break the reunion, but the Oni are here!" Cole screeches.

"You guys still haven't explained what the Oni is," Past Zane says. "We may be able to help."

"Okay, this is the Oni in a nutshell...," Kai explains. I don't pause to listen. Instead, I stand before the gates of the monastery, ready to battle the Oni. Darkness will not win today.

Kai's POV: (season 5)

"Woah! Lloyd has Oni blood?!" Jay gasps. "Cool!"

Lloyd rolls his eyes. "How is that 'cool'?! The Oni are evil, Jay!"

"Well, you can survive the black smoke, while mortals like us cannot," my past self explains.

"They're here! Ninja, ready your weapons!" Future Wu shouts, handing the golden weapons to our future selves. Wait... aren't those destroyed?

Our future selves bolt out the monastery gates and attack the Oni. "Ninja, go!" They shout.

"We should help them. Besides, we're basically helping ourselves," Cole says, readying his fist. Lloyd nods in agreement.

"Cole's right, but we need to know what we're facing first. The Oni may be way out of our league."

"Well, we can back them up. Besides, they can't fight alone. We have to help them!"

Lloyd nods. "Alright, let's do this. Ninja, go!"

"Thanks for helping us. You guys really helped us," future Cole says.

"No problem. We're ninja, it's what we do," I say.

"We need to find a way to bring you guys back to where you're from. We already messed up the timeline but allowing you guys to fight alongside us," future Zane says. "My sensors say that a portal to the Realm Crystal opens every hour. You can probably make the next portal. It is located where you entered."

Zane nods. "Thank you. C'mon, we have to head over before it's too late."

My future self watches me leave, and I give a small wave. Lloyd stays behind for a moment, asking his future self a question.

I watch them silently. Finally, Lloyd nods and follows us. We arrive in Ninjago City in a matter of minutes.

"In about five minutes, a portal should open up right here," Zane says.

Lloyd sighs. What's up with him?

Moments later, a portal opens up. I take a quick look back before hopping in.

"Well, wasn't that quite the adventure," Jay says as we land in Stixx.

"It was, but what about Morro? Do you think Sensei and Nya managed to handle it?" Cole asks.

Lloyd nods. "They're strong. I'm sure they handled it well."

We walk around the once-beautiful ghost-town. Morro and the Cursed Realm are nowhere to be seen.

"Let's call Sensei and report back to the Bounty," Lloyd says.

Lloyd pulls out his phone and calls Sensei.

"What happened to you guys?! Morro opened up a portal, and the five of you just disappeared!" Nya says, engulfing me in a big hug.

"Uh, let's just say he sent us to the future," I reply. She gives me a suspicious glance.

"Are you serious, Kai?"

Jay nods. "Yeah, it was so cool! We helped our future selves defeat the Oni and-!"

Lloyd puts his hand over Jay's mouth. "We can't tell them what we saw, or else it'll change the timeline!"

Wu nods. "Lloyd is correct. The timeline has already been altered, so we shouldn't make it worse."

"Ugh, fine! But it was so cool!"

"How did you guys defeat Morro?" I ask, turning to my sister and Wu.

"Well, I discovered my true potential and drowned the Cursed Realm and the ghosts in a big wave," Nya replies proudly.

"Aww, I wish I could've seen that!" Jay says with a pout, making Nya giggle.

"Don't worry, I can show y'all sometime. Anyway, what's for dinner?"

"I'm cooking tonight!" Cole shouts.

"Oh, no...," everyone but Cole mumbles.
